We all know that the Chandlers have financial difficulties at the moment, so why hasn't it occurred to Chris to sell his artwork? Not stuff he's got tucked away in folders, but original artwork?

I mean, he's desperate enough for money that he tried to sell a box of used porn DVDs for $1000, so I don't know why he doesn't try sell art.

There are so many people online willing to pay ridiculous amounts of money for Christory, so why doesn't Chris just draw something original and say on FB that he's selling it for $150?

He could make money and screw over the weens at the same time, not to mention he'd actually be drawing again.

It beats trying to sell DVDs with sticky pooey fingerprint stained cases.

Well yeah, true. But it'd be perfect for him. Weens would think that they're getting epic new content, when they really aren't, so not only would Chris would be getting the Trolls' money, but he'd also be "tricking the trolls" - something he's been dying to do for ages.

Hell, make a new issue of Sonichu and make it purchase only or something.

He can't sell his artwork for the same reason he can't sell his DVDs.
His artwork has sticky pooey fingerprint stains on it too...and probably smells like mildew, buggachu residue and fail. :briefs:

That and the pages are stuck together.

He gets free money every month and doing this would take something approximating work.

You must really hate money if you're willing to spend $150 on one of Chris' shitty drawings.

I mean like, make NEW artwork. Draw something new and sell it - not sell the old classics.

I mean, he's willing to try all sorts of crazy shit to try trick the trolls - why not just send them shitty artwork and get max cash for it?

I know he's lazy, but jeez. It would A) Make him money, B) Screw with the weentrolls, and C) He'd be drawing again and would probably be much happier.

Marvin, if you read this, any idea whether Chris still draws at all? Even if he does keep it in his folders instead of the internet?

I wouldn't, but I'm sure there are plenty of young entitled weens with their parent's money to spend, under the impression that gaining a piece of Christory would put them up there in the hall of fame with Clyde Cash and Liquid.

People have done stupider shit.

The weeners would deface them and he can't handle that.

I wouldn't buy any of his originals because ew, however if he were able to join up with a company such as society6, I'd probably buy a nice print of the infamous "MY LOVE QUEST IS FINALLY OVER!" image for shits and giggles granted it didn't cost me more than like, $30.

I suspect the size of the market for Chris' "art" is significantly smaller that of the market for used tampons.

Well my idea was predicated on the fact that he knew it was only trolls and weens buying them, so he wouldn't draw something he couldn't handle seeing defaced. Like say if he sent them a drawing saying "I KNOW YOU'RE A TROLL!".

Defacing the art would just prove to Chris that he was right about them being a troll. And he'd still have the money.

I'm not talking like, sending out Rosechu drawings and tardraging when someone shoops a dick on it.

Chris must realize on some level that selling his artwork would only be an admission that his art only has value as being some of the worst out there.

Doubt it.

I doubt Chris would execute a plan like that properly. He'd fuck up pricing and stuff like that

Also, this.

Yeah, I can think of only a couple of people who would actually shell out money for Sonichu stuff. Chris would probably spend more on gas going to the store and buying new art supplies than he would make.

It probably would have worked back in the day though - Chris has stopped being that weird funny internet guy who people wanted to see more of. Now he's just a broken forgetful shell of a person. I guess he missed the boat on that one.

I guess he'll just have to sell his own used tampons instead.

Even if he decided to try it, nobody would buy it.
If there's any value in some of the "classic" pieces, it's only due to them being associated with some of the more comical and outrageous parts of his sagas. Chris' scrawlings by themselves are worth as much any of the countless pieces of shitty fanart floating around the internet, absolutely fuck all.

Even then, there's the fact that he wouldn't accept any realistic price for it. Somebody might pay 5 or 10 bucks for a picture just for a laugh, but Chris is a man who bought both versions of the new Pokemon game just to get the tiny amount of content you can't get with just one, and rebought Resident evil revelations on the ps3 just to add trophies to his account. 5 or 10 bucks isn't a worthwhile amount of money in his eyes.

I've been trying to get my greasy mitts on some orignal CWC "artwork" for some years now. Even after several letter and offers of payment I have't been able to get Fatty to cough up one signed scrap of paper. I've even sent him $50 and a pre-made return envelope but nadda, not even a thanks!

Which is a shame; i would love to add a hand drawn original CWC to my wall. :C

Even if Chris believed his art could make him a ton of money...

He's lazy as hell.
