Why is so much degeneracy linked to atheists?

Ah yes atheist preachers are molesting little boys or telling little girls they got raped because they weren't acting modestly or even forcing them to marry gross old men. Or advocating "blanket training" where you smack the shit out of a baby if it crawls off a blanket. Definitely things only atheists have done and no one else.

I'm an atheist but you can't say that religious values didn't shape Western society for the better. Atheism is full of degeneracy because they didn't just reject religion, they rejected religion along with all of its values regardless of sense.

Most people do need social pressure to convince them not to do bad things though, that's the problem. People in general don't abstain from bad behavior because they themselves think it's bad but because they don't want to have to explain their actions to their immediate friends and family.

Social pressure only works on most people. A significant percentage only respond to physical threats.

There is no such thing as objective moral rationality which would substitute religious moral rationality.

It’s “rational” in Papua New Guinea for a 13 year old to suck a tribe elder’s cock to gain his wisdom and become a man. Humans don’t have an innate sense of morality we all abide by. The “social contract” you are referring to was embedded in society after centuries of conditioning from religious teachings. It’s why shit like homosexuality was outlawed for the larger part of human existence. Only recently (past decade, or so) as atheism has gained traction has sexual deviancy been progressively permitted into societal norm.

I still say that "religion was invented to force people to be moral" is begging the question.

Have you ever read the Nietzsche quote "god is dead" and the meaning and context behind it? Well, there's your answer. Not to sound pseud or anything, it's actually very accessible to the layman, just read the Wiki article. Reading Nietzsche's work first-hand is a little more of a deep dive, but you don't need to do that.

Take Pre-Deterministic Christianity; if you're already damned no matter what you do because God chose you before birth to be destroyed for his glory, why bother?

Also, live around HERE and you'll see real quick that Christianity ain't no vaccine against degeneracy...
