I observe the Rusting Squire for the same reason I post on the Golden Wiki: Because there's something
different about this particular lolcow.
With Chris, or Jace, or Moleman, we see they're capable of bad things. Nay, terrible things. And yet, there's an element of tragedy which allows us to lock onto the fact that at the core, they're still human. That's what makes Chris' autistic antics so interesting to watch. As has been stated before, if someone like Chris actually recognized the issues he has, dealt with them like a responsible adult, and moved on, he'd receive a standing ovation from us here on the CWCki and many a fuzzy-wuzzy. If Jace unfucked himself (and maybe dragged Eli back from Israel), he'd recieve less of a standing ovation, but he'd at least recieve some patent acknowledgement that he done good and maybe could aspire to something greater.
You don't get that with the Jaundice Princess. There is no tragedy. There is only
Dot.
Jay is completely detached from the world writ large, to an extent that Chris can only dream. He is completely insolated from doing anything he doesn't want to - he doesn't work, he doesn't socialize, and yet he somehow has enough money to throw at his vanity press literary toilet-training. We facepalm over how incredibly inept as parents Barbara Chandler or Gail Connors are, but I seriously wonder if they have
anything on Gay Jeis' mom basically denying him nothing. The Christmas Journal was horrifying in and of itself, but accounts from Heather and others strongly suggest that Jay is a
sick motherfucker, and only his laziness and fear of repercussions keeps him from doing something absolutely dreadful. Ignore his sadism, the implied pedophilia, and his bizarre tendency to hold grudges over the most ridiculous shit. Look at his reaction to the CWCki crew accidentally his statue. It's nothing like a
normal reaction to anger or stress. It's completely internalized, and Jay remains.... Frankly
terrifyingly calm.
I watch Jay because there's every bit of evidence that if the stars align in precisely the wrong way, I'm going to see his ass on the news, but there's also the fact that there's some genuine lulz to be had by analyzing his works and their deeper meanings. I could write a fucking treatise on what the fuck might be wrong with Jay's mental state from Pilot Epic 1 of
Myth of the Legendary Warrior alone. This is worthy of being chronicled in and of itself, but it's the hilarious shit, like his pretending to faint to get out of going on a Roller Coaster or inadvertently commenting on Heather's tits - that makes it all worthwhile.
Also, Jesus Fucked-Up Christ, Heather is a fucking saint for putting up with the Copper Coprophage's shit as long as she has.
