Too many people accept the premise that accepting trans bullshit has anything to do with being a liberal. Even you're doing it. Liberalism is a political philosophy that posits that the ideal society is one that maximizes liberty, that the best society is the one in which people are the most free. It has nothing to do with personally accepting what people choose to do with that freedom. The liberal position is that gay people should be free to marry each other. That doesn't mean you have to like gay marriage. The liberal position is that people should have absolute or nearly absolute free speech. That doesn't mean you have to like everything everyone says. The liberal position is that consenting adults should be free to cut their own dicks off if they want. That doesn't mean you have to play along with their mental illness, allow them to do it to minors, allow taxpayer money to fund it, or tolerate their creepy behavior toward women. You might argue that's political liberalism, and social liberalism means tolerance and keeping an open mind. Being open minded doesn't mean you're obligated to accept all of the ridiculous, immoral shit put before you, either.
People blindly accept the false premise that liberalism means accepting any and all deviant behavior, and they blindly accept the false premise that liberalism is a sign of intelligence. Young people especially want to be thought of as liberal because they think it means being forward-thinking, rational, intelligent, and morally superior to backwards-thinking conservative rednecks. They're constantly shown by ideologically motivated news media and youth-oriented fiction that to be a good "liberal," one must accept social justice dogma, including trans shit, so they go along with it. Older people and corporations want to remain relevant with the profitable 18 to 34 demographic, so they go along with it, too.
There's also that fact that the 24-hour news cycle and social media have made it possible to bombard people with propaganda every waking moment of their lives. Even rational people eventually buckle under that kind of sustained mental pressure. I highly recommend a book called Propaganda: The Formation of Men's Attitudes by Jacques Ellul. The references are badly dated, but it's a sobering examination of how propaganda works.
Edited for grammar because I be an retarded.
