Will some fast food chains become the next Blockbuster?

Earliest KFCs weren't actually KFCs, it was a franchised menu, so you could have "Xarpho's Diner featuring Kentucky Fried Chicken" as a menu item. Some of these old franchised places lasted into the 1990s...the last Kenny King's closed in 1996 in Cleveland, which was a full-service diner-style restaurant that had the full KFC menu.
KFC's got so goddamn nasty around 2000, some bad signs even before that. Not even sure if there are any still around me. All the ones I knew of are gone. Negroids behind the counter ruined them, they all moved to Popeyes now. Never had a chance to try one of those Popeyes "murder the nigger in front of you" chicken sandwiches cause they always sell out and its always like a 40 min wait in the drive thru.

Deep fried chicken fast food is a thing of the past.

I hope McDonalds fucks off and dies already.

I hope KFC revives its buffet idea (that took the tumble due to COVID) and reinvents itself as a chain of Southern food buffets (it won't, it's doing the opposite and sidelining/closing them).

KFC buffets were great.

I can't foresee Burger King making it. In the past 20 years, they have tried everything except making better food and cleaning up the facilities. This is the hill they're willing to die on. I don't think there will be Burger Kings by 2040.

Theres only a handful of fast food places on a military base- one is usually Subway, one is a pizza place (usually dominoes) and the third is Burger King so I assume they will last there. I don't think theres ever been a McDonalds on a military base.

Every time I've gone to BK in the last like 20 years, I've been disappointed. I'm honestly shocked the pandemic didn't shutter them, their burger meat isn't even good.

There's a McDonald's in Gitmo of all places:

I think Subway deserves it the most. They're absolute garbage. Say what you want about McDonald's, they're at the very least consistent slop. KFC has been awful for years too but I think I'd rather give them another chance than Subway ever again. They're not even really any faster than a better chain like Firehouse or Jersey Mike's, let alone a local place most likely. It's kinda baffling Subway is still a thing now that I think about it.

I would not be surprised if Subway gets destroyed by Jimmy John's or some other sub place. It's one of the few fast food places I can remember leaving feeling disappointed and still hungry.

I live in NY and I'm shocked that subway is even a thing here when bodegas exist and you can get a big and much better sandwich for like half the price. I also have no idea HOW fucking chain pizza exists here either. If you're in fucking nyc and you get nasty ass papa John's instead of local pizza you deserve prison stalker child
