I have to wonder what it's like to be someone who bases their entire online career around "trolling SJWs epic style." Doesn't it just get really boring at some point?

Usher is really trying to mutate into Ethan Ralph at this point.
I think he already exceeded Ethan, Ethan at least seems like he's having fun with his streams and whatnot. Usher is just constantly angry and sounds like an asshole to be honest.

Also, the site's ads really match the intended demographic too..

>I risked my name and career and won against a major media corporation
>Well I pissed off some SJWs
Only a person with absolute zero self-awareness can own themselves like that.

Honestly generic weeb smut is universal. Don't act like you weren't amused.

Being constantly angry helps give one an idea on how serious he could be with the title. As for weeb shit, gotta try and appeal to the demographic you attract.

Lol I was quite amused by it, I personally think that he had a chance to move on from anger and start finding an acceptable middle ground between SJW clickbait and The RalphRetort's constant culture warfare.

Niche Gamer and Dualshockers are decent-ish outfits that are feeling their way into that direction IMO with varying degrees of success. But as it stands now, Billy D is basically a slightly more functional version of Hirtes, constantly fighting Chris uncaring SJWs into his personal oblivion. Which is a shame, because I think he's a hard worker.

Pretty sure that if KiA's moderation removes his site from their approved list like they are proposing to, then his site will die.

This thread has been dead for a little while. Billy boy just posted what appears to be a literal SJW tier post about how Cyberpunk is "degenerate". No seriously.

https://archive.fo/nXUYT

I'm wondering if he's actually losing his mind considering how...well degenerate the stuff on the site is, with the scantly clad anime babes on the side all the time. To lack this self awareness is probably a sign he's not really thinking straight when writing some of this garbage. I think if you ask me, he's angry at the PR guys (since according to The Quartering CDPR found the whole situation of the Twitter page apologizing and the outrage mob funny, implying CDPR aren't bowing down to SJW mobs, just the PR guys are) and is taking his anger out on the game.

And here is the disclaimer at the start, just bask in it:

"Notice: I’m going to say right off the bat if you’re a Centrist™, if you’re a Moderate™, if you’re an SJW, if you’re a Leftist, if you’re a Liberal, if you don’t believe SJWs exist, if you don’t see anything wrong with SJWism, if you hate the Culture War, if you don’t like people criticizing games you obsess over, if you’re incapable of dealing with criticism, if you hate it when people point out the Leftist agenda in gaming, or if you don’t mind the propaganda-laden direction that the industry has gone in, go ahead and close out the tab and do something enjoyable for yourself. Spare yourself the anguish of reading this piece and go have fun; do something nice for yourself. Donate a little of your time to the less fortunate, or go do something constructive with your time, because otherwise this is not an article for you."

All that in thinking the main character in the demonstrations had some haircut that could be a bit Tumblr or SJW and having what was a one night stand. Honestly, Usher should just avoid anymore of Cyberpunk if he has to be buttblasted over some of the gameplay videos. And the one night stand part is funny and hypocritical if Usher also jerks off to animes where you have a female main sleeping with a bunch of random dudes.

If the character is SJW, I'd be expecting more on rambling about racism, wokeness, and other SJW style dialogue than getting wasted and banging hookers. As for the setting he's bitching about, he's just another sperg that won't get over how the game doesn't have some dreary look. As @Guardian G.I. and another said, the city looking rather bright and not like a shit hole is something refreshing since it doesn't have to go on the whole "rainy shitty noir city" look. All Billy really accomplished with this article, aside from getting some stroking in the comments, is coming off as a screeching tard because the main character is "degenerate" and the city looks too bright.

Isnt obvious the whole theme of the game is society and morality decayed under the weight of crony corporatism? Why is he surprised protagonist is a promiscuous addict? That's the fucking point. It's a dystopian society.

Also lol at the massive hardons guys like these have for the Crusades. I don't know what's so romantic about doing whatever the guy in the big hat says simply because you think he talks to God.

I'll have you know dying of gangrene in the middle of the desert because a Mohamedean stabbed you in the arm, malnourished and shitting yourself, is basically the coolest thing ever

The last article posted to OAG was the controversy surrounding Total War: Rome II. Gamers got angry because they tend to not like forced updates patching in Diversity™ and People of Color™. There was also the matter of historical inaccuracy, because, you know, women were totally treated as equals in Ancient Rome and allowed to lead invading armies. And it’s not like invaders raped the living shit out of women in every town they raided, either.

The developers took on the standard “If you don’t like, you can just not play it” ‘fuck you’ to their actual customers in response.

Feminists, of course, got outraged at the backlash on places like the Mary Sue, renowned for its objective journalism and integrity.

This Tweet, from unexceptional individual Mark Brown, has been cited on 8chan and OAG’s comment section as being the biggest source of discontent over the OAG article. From Mark Brown the story was picked up by Kotaku and Newsweek. Here he blasted OAG for not only being pro-GG but also being linked to/endorsed by The Daily Stormer, a Neo-Nazi site.

Whether any of this is connected to what followed is yet unknown, but One Angry Gamer spent the entirety of last week being hacked and then knocked offline in a DDoS storm. According to Billy, the site was hacked not once but twice. After the site’s files were corrupted, a technician restored a 2016 backup, only to have the attacker(s) immediately strike again.

Over on Billy’s official Twitter account, he was very quiet and short about addressing the OAG situation:

I remember when William Usher was a Nintendo fanboy journalist writing articles for Cinema Blend about how amazing the Wii U was, from bragging about all the 1080p games it had (which it didn't) to whining about how the media was demonizing the Wii U to trying to discredit developers criticizing it's lack of power. My personal favorite article of his was when he peddled the now disproven "hidden power" myth that Nintendo fanboys were spreading at the time.

These articles age even worse when you read about how games mentioned in these articles were canned on the Wii U because it was too weak or didn't run at 1080p.

Jeez, and I thought people hated KF. He must've REALLY pushed someone's buttons to get that level of reaction.

Yeah, he was a sperg and autist, but he didn't deserve to have his site burned to the ground.

You posted an image more interesting than the DDOSing:

Polygon is reporting that Valve has changed the name of the card formerly known as "Crack The Whip". It was initially put on display via a post on Twitter on September 26th, 2018 by the official Artifact account. It explained that when you play the card "Crack the Whip" card and you play a certain other card next to the "Crack The Whip" card, it will trigger again, as if being "whipped" into action. While that may not seem all that bad, the card's description is where things got hairy, causing some controversy on social media. The "Crack The Whip" card description states...

"Modify a black hero with "After you play a black card, give this hero and its allied neighbors +2 Attack this round."

Directly under the initial tweet there are a number of complaints from users suggesting to Valve to change the name of the card. Some of the users stated that a card named "Crack The Whip" that modifies "black heroes" was "not a good look" and some users began suggesting other names for the card. Polygon stated that the name of the card and the description could be used out of context and give Valve a bad look from those unfamiliar with the way CCGs are played.

Following a multitude of complaints and backlash over the description and the card name, two days later on September 28th, 2018 there was an update from Valveunder the initial announcement for the card, with the Artifact account stating that "Crack The Whip" had its named changed to "Coordinated Assault." Like any change that comes about due to controversy, there's some debate about whether or not the new card name is as catchy as the original, while others are just glad that the name has been changed. There doesn't appear to be any feedback on the changes from the artists of the cards, Wisnu Tan from Indonesia, and Jason Kang. The social media profiles for the artists have been quiet on the subject.

:autism: As an avid total war player since the first Shogun title, the Rome II controversy isn't nearly as dire as people make it out to be, especially the people in the Steam Review section (them even being people is up for debate on the fact that most of the accounts doing the review bombing are either freshly created or set to private with several instances of the same review being copypasted. If you go and see for yourself, you'll even find out that much of the accounts that aren't set to private don't even own the goddamn game).

What happened with Rome II was that in March, nearly six whole months ago, they added in female generals for only the Barbarian, Desert Kingdoms and Egyptian factions with a 10% chance of showing up in the recruitment pool for generals (Kush gets 50%) while the likes of Rome, Catharge, the Greeks and the Eastern factions have zero ability to recruit female generals.

While I can't back the crowd screaming about this on the fact that this whole controversy has made a mountain out of a molehill, the Community Manager that gave into the manufacturered braying with the BFV-esque "don't like, don't play" shit was a complete fucking dumbass that should never have been given the position of CM and did nothing but stoke the flames of the whole non-troversey to last even longer.

As far as OAG goes, it's still pretty retarded of them to think that this was a worthy hill to die on with all that has been said and for how long it took for them to make a big deal out of this

So many reasons to hate Rome II and yet they chose the most innocuous. Surprised they still update that game, though.
