If his coverage is almost all "SJWs are ruining life" kind of articles, then you really can't blame them for believing that.

I think a lot of those sites tend to make the same mistake: Attempting to explicitly garner favor among fringe movements.

You see Billy Usher doing it, you see Brandon Orselli do it as well. And both communities are the kind of communities that normies won't touch.

Though I acknowledge that I have no other alternatives for building readership when your competing publications are backed by massive multimedia conglomerates/companies (Gizmodo Media for Kotaku, Vice Media for Waypoint, Vox media for Polygon and GameStop for Game Informer are examples of this), which means that have more resources to utilize for things like Search Engine Optimization, site design..etc

With that said, if you ask me what my ideal games website would look like, I'd argue for something similar to the classic publications like Game Pro..etc, but those would be quite difficult to monetize in this day and age.

Figured I should post this article as it sums up a major issue I have noticed with most of his articles. Granted we have been talking about the Sony censorship (which I strongly disagree with but on basis on censorship in general, even if you take away the Lolicon aspect) on the Kotaku In Action thread, but I feel this should be brought up as the last paragraph of this article is a example of one of his major issues: Every one of his article (like 90%) discussing SJWs ends with some overly pessimistic and fearmongering paragraph designed to enrage the reader.

He-Man, and by extension She-ra, were very clearly based on the Conan the Barbarian style of literature and art, with influences from things like Heavy Metal and the like. That's why they look the way they do. While I hate that Stephen Universe Cal-Art style of animation that they're using with the new She-ra, it makes complete sense not to use that older Heavy Metal animation style when rebooting a series intended for young girls.
