Unless you mean a specific branch of AI, Machine learning isn't something that was invented yesterday, and its usefulness has been proven for years.

Waifu2x is good for animated content I will give it that, however I cannot get anything useable out of it. For live footage AI upscaling doesn't look good compared to a traditional upscale (using an older more basic version of "machine learning" that follows a very basic "algorithm"), and AI upscaling doesn't come close to a Native 4K transfer from 35mm film. I think James Cameron just hates his older movies and is trying his best to ruin them.

I mean more of the writing prompt stuff because it's super noticeable when done by big companies.
