Whinging about 'wage slavery'. What makes it different, though, is this:
I had a full time job once, as an arcade technician. ~50 hours a week. It wasn't too bad once I got used to being on my feet all day. The only thing that I really hated was how inconsistent my hours were. To open I had to be there at 9am, which would have been doable by itself. But I also had to close sometimes and they didn't close until 12-2am, after which I had to stay for another ~2 hours wiping down the games and refilling tickets.
Paid $9.50/hr which most people would say is shit, but it was more than enough for me. If I'd had more consistent hours I probably could have stayed there a lot longer. As it turned out I only made it 2 months before (falsely) calling in sick one Saturday morning and getting fired for it. While I was working there I fell into the typical working man's schedule of wake-work-home-drink-sleep-repeat and it was surprisingly comfortable. It also made me want to actually go out and do something with my free time when I had days off because it would have felt like a waste otherwise. I never get that feeling as a NEET.
Having spending money was really nice, too. I could buy snacks or fast food whenever I wanted, I could buy new games that I thought were cool, go see a movie at the theater, stuff like that which I could never do as a broke asshole with no income. I also liked that people treated me much better when I was employed, not having to suffer from NEET-shaming for a change was very refreshing.
It's unfortunate that workers are so disposable these days, with employers being happy to fire them over the tiniest things. You end up having to go above and beyond just to keep your crappy low-paying job, and the boss expects you to be happy to do so.
A guy with a reasonable attitude towards work? On Wizardchan?
Wow u are really a wage slave. Ur job was horrible, pure slavery and because u can buy "games" it was "okay"? Goddammit.
I hate working my life is horrible and shitty because of work
I have to deal with normalfags all day and my social anxiety will kill me any day soon
I want to see how the rest of the wizards are going to respond to this.
