I could see Philip getting shadowbanned from Twitch. He rolls out of bed in the afternoom, flops down onto his love seat. Plays shitty music for half an hour. Finally starts telling his camera how he lost his job 10 years ago. Whines to his PS4 about how hard his life is and hopefully things will turn around for him. Reminds his desktop how to contribute with subs, bitch ears, and tips, but tips help the most right now ‘coz he needs that money. He really does. He needs that money to pay his bills. And then starts to ask his laptop where all those lazy fucks are who are usually in his chat.

I knew I wasn't hearing things last time DSP ranted about streamers who get early copies of games, he used the word "inclusive" when he actually meant exclusive. He just did it again when talking about FGC competitors who expected special treatment at tournies because they're part of a "inclusive" group:

Yeah, I think I've heard him do this a lot. Like he seriously thinks inclusive means an exclusive group that you aren't in.

He uses it as interchangeable with exclusive literally all the time. He uses them right next to each other in the same sentence as if they are the same word. He's so dumb he thinks include and exclude are the same thing :cringe:

He got corrected on it in March when a minute beforehand he called the 'Voice-acting community' inclusive, and claims he knew he meant exclusive. . .but then he still just continues on saying inclusive as if it means exclusive. It took him 15 full seconds of reading chat to figure out he's saying the wrong word.

Not specifically a word he uses, but his diction is some of the worst I've ever heard. It's something that I've been picking up more and more now and it goes beyond his normal mush-mouth mumble speak. He just straight up stops enunciating his words at points. I don't expect him to dictate like he's giving a speech to the UN or something, but fucking hell, spit the cock out and use your words.

It's not the presence of the 'r' in 'frog' either because he pronounces 'come' that way too.

Several times I've played clips people posted of Phil where I didn't notice I had my sound off and confusedly thought, 'Why did someone post a clip of Phil sitting still, not moving a muscle, with his mouth hanging slightly open?' and then I turn the volume up and am startled to learn that Phil is actually speaking at a regular volume and pace without using any of his face muscles whatsoever.

It's another one of those really off-putting things Phil does that once you notice you can't unnotice. Like, try speaking without working your jaw or using your cheeks and lips to form sounds, just using your vocal cords and tongue to form sounds, and then think about what a lazy slob you would have to be to routinely speak like that in your job as a public personality on the internet.

It just occurred to me why I find it so off-putting. He looks like a ventriloquist speaking through his own mouth as if he were the puppet when he does it.


But yeah, he also does just start skipping consonants entirely where a phrase like 'Get the fuck out of here' is instead spoken by Phil as 'Getha FU ow ophere'.

There truly is nothing consistent with Phil. It's like he's genetically designed to not follow any kind of logic or rules whatsoever.

I'm sure his accent comes from his parents, though, and has simply gotten worse for the same reasons that everything else about him has. All the DSP lore that I've thus far become privy to points in one undeniable direction: he was molded into a lumpy shape at home, mostly by mama, and stopped absorbing anything useful upon leaving. It didn't even matter if his parents raised him right, nothing about him would improve once he took off. He was destined, perhaps even determined, to hit the age of 40 in a severely deteriorated state compared to whatever he was when he left home.

For a while I thought it was a tell that he was drunk that he'd start slurring. I don't think that's the case anymore, I think he genuinely can't talk for whatever reason.

It could be related to alcohol, maybe he got wet brain from hitting the gin for so long and since he's already a dumbass by nature the wet brain just made it even worse.

This might have to do with Phil's unbelievably shitty 480p 4:3 30fps camera in which his face takes up a tiny percentage of even the camera view much less the screen. Now why could that be?
 
Phil is incredibly insecure, but also cheap, lazy, oblivious, and full of contempt for his retards, so I would say it's anyone's guess as to why he uses that shit webcam. There are so many possible motivations.
 
re: Phil's repeated misuse of penultimate, I guess he was searching for a word: some kind of superlative. A viewer tipped, telling him to learn the definition of penultimate so he'd stop using it incorrectly. It was during a Morrowind stream so of course Phil whipped out his phone to search + eat some clock.

Phil learned it means "next to last" or "second from last" and even took a cue from chat and retconned all previous misuses as a word that he made up: penne-ultimate.
