Words & Phrases DSP Has Invented or Misuses - DSP'isms that make you say "HUUUHN?!?"

Maybe this is more of a DSPism rather than a word he misuses but one thing that DSP does, similar to a lot of Lolcows, is infuriatng in the way that he will say "I have no fucking clue what X is about but from what I understand blablahblah" and then proceeds to explain it exactly how it is like word for word. His rant yesterday about V-Tubers is a prime example. He might has well have read it verbaitim from a wikipedia article, but he has "no clue" v-tubers and virtual characters, right? Okay? Sure, Phil.

Utalitarian: a word Phil uses because "utilitarian" is too smol brain sounding to ever come out of the mouth of Phillip P. Burnelli, bona-fide Italian-American stud and Valedictorian
lmao he actually does sat utal itarian. Also in the title of the video he wrote 'More Sing-A-Long'. How exactly do you sing the idea of a great distance or any of the other definitions for the word 'long', Phil? It's a 'Sing-Along' as in the word 'along' meaning 'in company with others'. Sometimes informally it gets used all as one word, 'singalong', but it's definitely not Sing A Long with two hyphens unless you are talking about the Bar & Grill in Iowa named 'Sing-A-Long' that has a player piano.
Valedictorian. Fucking hyphenates the word along. Phil, you have drank yourself retarded.

I'd give "Sing-A-Long" a pass in any normal circumstance: If Phil had any sense of humor. Then it would be a play of words. What if he sings a lot in this video? Then it's a sing-a-long. Haha. Funny Dave.

But history paints another picture. His titles are always a dry serious description of the happenings because Phil thinks he's a serious independent stand-alone videogame journalist with a consequently honest mature opinion. People take the opinions of the biggest videogame laughing stock in history very serious, okay? Please take it seriously before Phil starts crying and rambling again, like the salty toxic child he is.

But yes, tl;dr, fine title if written by any other person. And it's Phil's fault.

I know it's not exactly new but the way he uses words like 'fundraising' and 'positivity' interchangeably with the concept of donating is irritating. He knows "give me money/donations/cheers" has a negative connotation to it, so he deliberately chooses a different soft-sounding word to make it palatable while meaning the same exact thing

He did the same back in ye olde days when he told his fans to click on ads on YT so he can get money from it, he said that performing that act was "participating in the channel" so he'd tell people to "participate" when he was ending videos. He loves making up those weird euphemisms for giving him money, be they direct or indirect methods. It's like how "interacting with me on stream" nowadays means just "tip me money".
"Participation" was back in like 2010 what "interaction" is today.

This is the same as when he says tips are not MANDATORY but he is DISAPPOINTED when he misses the goal.

If it's not mandatory, then there is nothing to be disappointed about when it's missed.

To that very point, he said this during his recent StreamLabs panic stream:

Tips aren't mandatory but they are essential!

sure it's been said before, but the way he pronounces and uses "pertinent" and "important". Basically he drops the "t" - so something is or is not im-por-ent.

Pronunciation might be an American thing and not unique to him, since it doesn't seem to provoke the same response in his chat as his other weird sayings. Still I'd imagine his teacher in grade school would have told him the T isn't silent, you special case.

I saw that, I just assumed he was speed-reading faster than his brain could process the information.

I seem to remember Phil using the term "muscle memory" to refer to when he used to be a super jacked-up bodybuilder and he can still make his pecs dance because of it.

I think he believes "muscle memory" means "when your body remembers when it had muscles".

Well he does bring up muscle memory occasionally when talking about fighting games, and those times he's using it correctly.
