Words & Phrases DSP Has Invented or Misuses - DSP'isms that make you say "HUUUHN?!?"

Regarding “shit”: YouTube started censoring their transcripts. Late 2020 is the last appearance of “shit” on its own PigPigGo; from then on they appear as “[___]”. The remaining shits are what are contained in other words, like “shitty,” “horseshit,” etc.

Both charts show an apparent increase in 2017, which would be when he started reading chat more? I’m not sure on the timing of that change. If so, it could be because he’s more aware of the live audience and trying to entertain them on the fly. It so happens that he can mainly think of poop jokes.

Phil knows how much of his "humour" would have him put on blast by Twitter, to the point the only safe jokes he has left are scat related.

I heard Phil as usual was embracing his scat fetish today, so I was interested to see some certain words he uses, and the results may or may not shock you.

"ass"

"shit"

I see he's saying ass more frequently then he used to which is funny, but what stands out the most as you can see is how little he says "shit' these days, it's very slowly climbing as you can see but it's such as sharp and sudden drop from November 2020 onwards, unless there is a discrepancy in the data? Hmm doubt that...

Just did a little bit of background research about that period of time, he did that review copy playthrough (that he didn't disclose until later) of Mario and Sonic at the Tokyo Olympic games playthrough, so perhaps he put a limit on himself then to make sure it didn't affect the payment of that playthrough? Perhaps, but that wouldn't explain why he continued to follow that trend. There was also an incident involving the room mate's to a care clinic that happened as well, but that's entirely separate to the streams and shouldn't have an impact on Phil's vernacular, strange...

Edit: Well stoopid me didn't realise that youtube had a change in how it displays captions, so I think that explains that.
As for Ass I've noticed PigPigGo sometimes picks up words that sound like another word or are within one, like pass or bypass and adds them to the counter.

doesn't phil slur or drag his word often.
also his valley girl uptalk inflection doesn't do him any favors.
Yeah that doesn't help PiPigGo either.

All three of these are probably due to his stupid uptalk.

Unless you put a space in front and after "ass" the search engine will return any results that include the letters "ass" like "pass" or "assist".

I re-watched the video and he thinks that "pizza" is really an original English word rather than a loanword from Italian. I'd love to see him explain the thought process that led to this because it's CWC levels of exceptional.

And do you have a clip where he claims "all" languages? Even languages in the same family (French and Spanish, English and German, etc.) are not necessarily mutually intelligible and you'd have to be pants-on-head retarded to think Latin has any relation to Russian or Chinese.

i don't remember when he made that claim, so i don't know if i'll find it again so take my claim with a grain of salt
but i did find

why yes phil, spanish and english have their only root from latin and nothing else
also he says he learned it in high school here. i fucking doubt the high school he went to taught latin

also found this where he claims latin helps him understand spanish

so i think i misremember the elementary school, but there are a few times he said i was learning it in high school for 2-3 years
but according to him, he can now understand spanish well enough because of it.. because all spanish is all the same around the world

and you know, two words that look alike in two different languages must mean the same thing right?
exito must mean exit... RIGHT?

I'll do you two better: In Spanish "excitado" means "horny" and "embarazada" means "pregnant". Thank God Phil doesn't know a lick of Spanish or he'd be sperging and giggling at this (or just, you know, get laughed at by Internet autists from all countries and walks of life) until the end of time.

He attended a Catholic high school so he probably learned enough to read basic Church documents and maybe some historical records in the original Latin rather than translations. Latin education focuses much more on grammar and reading comprehension than anything else, so even if he can recognize individual Spanish words (doubtful) he cannot hold a conversation or figure out things like mood or tense. This isn't just pedantry or nitpicking either; Spanish relies much more heavily than English on mood and tense to convey intent.

Not to mention, thinking that a dead language that's 2000+ years old will help you understand a contemporary language is just pants-on-head retarded. I learned Latin in secondary school and I took an Italian language course during uni for credits and Latin barely helped me at all, at best it helped me understand like 2/10 words in a sentence. Here in Yurofagia the texts we get for Latin class are all from the Classical period of Latin (roughly 3rd century BC to 2nd century AD) and when you start reading Late period Latin you already scratch your head at some of the changes. Vulgar Latin on the other hand is unrecognizable and the contemporary Romance languages all sprang from the vulgar varieties of Latin that were spoken in that part of Europe, rather than the "formal" Late period Latin which is what everything formal was written in at that time.

1) I could just see him saying he is exictado that he knows Spanish and would be embarazada if he got anything wrong.

2) As someone that went to Catholic schools for 9 years in the 70s, not one offered to teach Latin.

This is all like saying he knows that three is in Spanish.

He only knows to say uno, dos, double dos ack ack ack and I don't know why but it annoys me to heck

i think it's more accurate to say that he rediscovered it.
he probably learned about the concept of loan words in school, but after nearly 2 decades of gin and yapping in front of a camera as a shut in. he probably forgot just about everything he ever learned.

And he's still going to take all the tips, membership money and superchats that he gets on the stream. But the ads will mean something. Sure Phil, whatever lets you sleep in the morning.
