World of Warcraft

The only people who still play WoW with any regularity are vanityfags, furries and the like who use the game as a gateway to ERP with futanari Worgen. The addition of another furry-bait class is actually a massive selling point to these people.

I've considered doing BC classic because that's when I jumped in and also when I jumped off. Would be good nostalgia. Worth a couple months just to fuck around or nah?
I'd say it's worth to fuck around on but WOTLK is going to be close and I heavily suggest avoiding boosting.

All I'd really do is fuck around, I don't have any intention of getting deep into WoW. I guess I never played Wrath so maybe I'll just hold off.
I'm just gonna level a blood elf paladin and hopefully do some dungeons and raids.

If you are going to play Wotlk classic I would wait until Ulduar which is one of the best raids, Naxxramas is easy as fuck unless you're going for achievements and it's chill to play with friends.

Fuck I dunno if I'd even stick with it long enough to raid. My friends are just considering hopping on and I'm tempted for nostalgia's sake. Thanks for the advice though.

They pulled WoD out of their asses to tie the game to the movie during a time they were trying to do yearly expansions. Legion was supposed to happen after MoP, Wrathion got shafted in favor of Khadgar and went missing for no reason when he was supposed to unite the factions against the demons. It didn't pan out as expected and they decided to ditch the expansion to focus more on Legion.
Yeah tahst right, apparently the movie release was delayed by six months and fucked up their in game plans.

And the movie being bad didn't help things either.

the only disappointment was that I didn't get the promotional transmogs.

You know shit got toxic when they have to spell out what their own community already did over a decade ago but can't be assed anymore because the game is 80% bots now.

Truly, we're watching the death throes of the game.

Wow they could’ve released this before I made every troon blood elf player rage in burning crusade classic. Either way I’m not changing my behavior if troons keep being troons.

Nothing says "ill-lead staff spending company time tilting at windmills" like when you feel the need to restate your policies you've held forever under a more grandiose name as though it will change something.

If it reigns in retards doing retarded shit like kicking people from a levelling dungeon for not doing 78 different skips, or screaming at people I WILL KICK U IF U DONT GIVE ME UR PERSONAL LOOT DROP I AM THE LEADER OF THIS PUG, I think it's certainly an improvement.
However, I doubt this will actually change anything and it's just a bog-standard virtue signal by Californians; since actually enforcing players being less retarded requires paying for a moderation/CS team and Blizzard will not do that so long as Kikeotick has his fingers on it.

I know people talk about how FFXIV's community is great and they punish people for being dickheads, but the thing is I never had a reason to be angry playing FFXIV. People there just seem chill and just want to play the game.

I remember WoW used to be like that, and I had to think of why. The reason was simple, back in the day you were tied to your character and you had a community so people for the most part solved shit in their own way. From what I've seen FFXIV is similar because one character can have multiple jobs and multiple crafting skills, meaning it's easier to level one character and stick with it than just shit out alts like modern WoW encourages you to do. You also have shit to do in FFXIV outside of just grinding for the same loot or trying to beat some arbitrary timer for a weekly reward, which makes it easier to get along with newbies.

I remember back in WoW we had a guy in our guild who ninja'ed an epic before he joined the guild and it took a shit ton of time for him to repair his reputation. He grabbed it when he was leveling and new to the game, and he was some dumb kid, so by the time he hit 60 he knew better but was blacklisted. It took time though eventually that got repaired, but again it was the community fixing shit not some arbitrary moderator, and completely because it wasn't just a grind fest of making a million alts because of shitty systems as well as massive cross servers that make the game feel more like a Diablo ARPG than an MMO.

I still remember people making videos that they'd share around in the style of Unbreakable because one guild said another was shit at pvp so they did a 5v5 battle where the guild shit talking got stomped. Then it turned into a whole roaming pvp night they'd do weekly:

That will go completely ignored while you saying "gay" will be banned instantly.

They're learning all the wrong lessons from FFXIV, lmao.
They went through the California education system, whatever brain they may have had has been rotted out completely and replaced by consooming and cooming.

So Blizzard's solution to its ever dwindling playerbase is to... suspend active players.

I want to know who these mythical "new players" are, because I certainly haven't seen any of them in the game.

There do seem to be a lot of new alts coming through. I'm a guide when I'm on so i do see alot of little murloc icons and very basic questions in guide chat.

That's fine, they can play with themselves if they want and there were guilds full of dickheads on most servers, but people know of them. Try to figure out someone is a dickhead today or avoid grouping with them effectively.

I'm surprised that religion is not listed as being part of a player's identity. It's as if they left that part out, to allow discrimination of Christians to happen freely, and any other not "current trend-friendly" religions.

And I was also expecting the race part to be specific (as in mention Black, Hispanic, Asian, Muslim, Native Americans), to allow discrimination of Whites (namely Russians), and Pacific Islanders.

I'm currently not subbed but a lot of the people I mythic progression raided with were relative newfags, new meaning usually Legion because I doubt they got much new blood in SL and BFA. I think only 3 of us were actually over 30.
