World of Warcraft

Used to play several years back as a Tauren Warrior and later a Dark Elf Druid, but I stopped playing as I found it hard to stop playing it and I had to cut myself off.

That, and it was a pain in the ass to keep up with my friends in level.

I played since 2010, but I quit a couple of months ago. I used to frequent Moon Guard and Wyrmrest Accord.

I used to be on Moon Guard, but then I got common sense and moved to Wyrmrest. Probably the best decision I've ever made on that game.

I personally like both servers and I made some friends on there that I still talk to. I understand why people don't like Moon Guard though.

I'm glad you had better experiences than I did while on that server. I actually wasn't aware of Moon Guard's bad reputation when I first joined it, and boy did I learn it the hard way.

Alliance side is pretty hysterical, especially with Goldshire. Oh man. Horde side is not too bad.

Horde side didn't have the Pornshire issues, but man were there a lot of elitists when I was on there. I actually ended up faction changing because I preferred being surrounded by all the smut, rather than get chewed out constantly because my character wasn't "interesting" enough for other RPers. Also, my toon wasn't a Blood Elf, so that instantly barred me from a lot of Horde RP.

Anyone have tips for non-raid endgame content as a mage? My alt is too squishy for this shit.

I mained an undead warlock and a Pandaren priest on Horde side. I know the feeling. It was either elves or trolls who get the most and a lot of it feels like a big circlejerk in my opinion.

I RP'd a sociopathic human warrior that enjoyed eating the flesh of Blood Elves raw. My friend was his mentally deficient friend. And his other character was my daughter. We had many fun times with a truly exceptional individual by the name of James. His character died and came back as a different character 3 times. His favorite things to say where "Nya!" and ", Frick, cheeze-it!" He also fell in love with my friend's female character, and probably with my friend, not realizing my friend was a dude...

He lost an in game duel to a level 20 rogue as a level 60 warrior. Friend sat on the roof of the inn and sapped him whenever he tried to come out. He eventually surrendered, logged off, and deleted character.

I played a Brewmaster Monk on Stormrage. Fucking love tanking on that class. Love being a pudgy Pandaren who rolls around and throws beer.

I quit about two months back though. Warlords has absolutely sucked - garrisons are unfun, Draenor is really boring and the whole Iron Horde/"Everything is SAVAGE!"/DEMONS EVERYWHURRRR motif screams like it was designed by a 13-year old whose only design guideline was "make it badass". Plus the whole alternate timeline nonsense. Not helping was burnout from being forced into Raidleading/GMing when our old GM decided he wanted to quit.

I've just decided to check out for the rest of the expac and see where it is come the next one. Raiding is still incredibly fun - Blackrock Foundry was an excellent raid with really fun mechanics - and killing mythic bosses for the first time - when half the raid is dead, the healers are running on fumes and the boss is sub-1% and everyone's trying their best to eke out as much damage as possible...and then Mumble explodes when you finally get it done? Those have been consistently my favorite moments in gaming. I just was stuck in a position I wasn't cut out for raiding in an expac I haven't been enjoying in the slightest.

Yeah I still haven't decided if World of Farmville is
a) A fun thing to do to kill time between LFR queues
b) the most worthless shit ever

It's A while you're levelling. Cause you get a sense of progression and it's fun to see the thing grow around you.

It's B during the rest of it because most of the buildings are rendered useless once you get more than a few pieces of raid gear and all you can really get out of it is mats (which are useless, see above) and your raid mission once every two weeks.

Finally got to get in some old dungeon stuff.
It's fun. Makes me glad I kept my whoopity shit gear from Pandas.

Sorry for necroing, but given that the new expansion was introduced today i was curious how yall feel about it.

for some reason it didnt hooked me, at this point it feels like theyre just trying to pander nostalgiafags with recycled stuff with bad lore
(wods lore was awful, i think)
