Would it be immoral for humans to have sexual relationship with aliens if they had similar cognitive abilities as us?

We're not genetically related tho. Tf is an alien STD gonna make out of a completely different lifeform? It'll take some time for it to adapt in order to infect humans. Similar to how ebola evolved to go from insects to humans.
It could really go either way. Yes, we wouldn't be close so there'd be no common basis. But that could either mean the disease goes "this environment doesn't have four-stranded nucleii that I've evolved to replicate into? WTF, I can't work in these conditions!" OR it might just go "hmmm, warm and wet environment with lots of nutrients" and none of our evolved defences can touch it.

Total lack of overlap or the War of the Worlds, Not a coin I'd be eager to flip.

Unless the alien is T'pol from that Star Trek spin off. Then I flip it.

I'm just going to throw this out there, in the spirit of, you know, interspecies relations.

There were a lot of angry people when our High Council decreed that we were going to get rid of the whole sexual dimorphism thing and start reproducing entirely via genetically engineered clones, designed to be asexual. "It's unnatural!" "It's against the Creator's will!" "Keep your digits off my cloaca!" and so on and so forth.

But once we made the switchover we noticed something interesting. No more weird perverts! No more sex crimes! No more weird nonsense where adults would get really into youngling-oriented media and then try to 'befriend' them. All that stuff just... stopped.

So maybe OP is asking the wrong question, and should instead ask, "Why are we humans so backwards as to still rely on sexual reproduction, when all the grown-up civilizations of the Milky Way are asexual clones and super chill and also way more advanced cognitively, and frankly, much better looking?"

It depends on the alien, really.

Yes, it would be unethical and immoral, but you'd have to put a huge amount of work into preventing it. Actually, I'm not sure you could, without a mandatory buddy system and regular struggle sessions. And even that assumes you can limit contact with the aliens to experienced and ideologically vetted specialists.

It may be considered bestiality if aliens are different enough from us. It also goes without saying it'd be immoral regardless outside of marriage.
nah
establishing our dominance over inferior sentient beings would be a moral
fraternizing with them and tolerating them more than what is necessary would be immoral as they are xenos scum
slavery is the only way but even then it should be looked at as using paraphernalia

Brain broken by Hollywood.
If alien life comes, chances it will be pleasant are below 1%, nobody will travel for 1000 lightyears to suck your clit or dicklet.
That is, if they have a mouth. Or genitalia.
If they ever come, prepare to be made into alien chow or be enslaved.

No, not at all. As long as it was safe from a 'everyone else' standpoint. That is if it didn't pose a direct real danger to us or them collectively. And i'm not talking about any social or cultural bullshit. Or more abstract concerns.

Realistically, we are going to have to deal with this sort of question long before we have a chance to worry about non earth based life. From humanized cyborgs/robots, even potentially bio ones or mixes like Armitage the 3rd type stuff. Also, and even more applicable i think, human animal hybrids and original lifeforms with human level abilities. Those things are coming a lot sooner than FTL travel or even leaving the solar system in general/by any means.

If you doubt then please be ready for a shock. lol Advanced prosthetics are quickly going to give way to full cybernetics, and on the biological side.. Japanese researchers already created living, dividing human-animal (felid) embryos back in 2019.. (they only allowed them to divide/live for a few days.. but it was only a proof of concept to begin with) Others around the world may already done so before hand. We have only just begun with genetic engineering. AI and adv tools are about to open whole new worlds of possibilities.

For better or worse we are going to have to definitively answer this kind of question on a social level sooner than we think.
