The introduction of a new alien species would be culturally shattering to a homogenous human inhabited world like ours. We would become manically obsessed with them, how could we not? Humans hunger to explore the unexplored, and now that Earth is completely charted out we have all the ambition and none of the uncharted territory.

The alien race would be our new conquest. Every individual would try to understand them and form an opinion. These aliens may not even be carbon based life forms. They could be formed from metal or gas. Even still, assuming we are on some sort of equal power dynamic, one species would end up trying to fuck the other. The ethics depend on the physicality of the lifeform, and how they view sex, if they even have any version of it at all. Would they be indulging us by participating? Or would we have to indulge them in whatever they do for pleasure? Have we subjugated them with our superior weapons? Or is it the other way around?

I think under the most common assumption, that if these aliens understand and are capable of having sex with humans, then there is no real ethical problem with intermingling with them. As long as no race is subservient to the other, it's fine. If unforseen consequences and STD's ensue, that's a different story.
