Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer is visiting Kojima Productions today, as testified by the pictures shared by Kojima himself on Twitter. Xbox executives Sarah Bond (Corporate VP) and Aaron Greenberg (VP of Marketing) are also in attendance, and they brought Kojima a nifty Starfield-themed backpack. They later went with many Kojima Productions members to visit the Kanda Myojin sanctuary in Akihabara, Tokyo.

Achievements are fun if it's either something that actually rewards you, if its like the MCC collection and you complete all the games on legendary, and you get the special wallpaper OR it's from a game no one plays, so it's a bit more special. Other than that it's just bragging rights.

Yeah, not until they start releasing consoles that are digital only or when developers stop releasing physical versions of their titles. It's not exactly conspiracy given how Nintendo closed their legacy content stores with MS on their way to discontinue the 360 marketplace.

In a stunning turn of events, it will turn out to be the best thing that Kojimas name has been attached to in two decades because he only took the project to get a cash injection into his failing production company and thus barely put any of his own work into it.

I understand you hate Kojima but his company is hardly failing, Death Stranding turned a profit before it even reached PC

I don't actually know anything about Kojipro's financials and was just shit posting.

But I want to say that Death Stranding making a profit isn't an actual indication of how successful the company is as a whole. Ubisoft titles make profits and that company is still falling apart, for example. Is the company falling apart? Probably not, I'd have to hope that Kojima would manage his own company money better than he did Konamis, but you never know.

Dogshit management if Halo and Mojang are anything to go by. Plus a bunch of mandatory corporate things like all the ESG pandering that is the exact same across all their games, same with the accessibility settings being copy paste, everything probably has to go through 12 higher ups before approval.

You're high as fuck. Yeah gamepass will probably fail, but they own a slice of a portion of the industry and nothing more. And, of course, they can always sell it on after they give up.
