Digital Series X is a massive no for me. Most of my Xbox games are physical 360 and Xbox One titles and if I were to ever upgrade (which I have no interest in doing to be honest) I would not choose a console where I would lose most of my access to my library.

The marketing material didn't mention anything about increased power, just more storage and reduced power consumption. I believe this Series X refresh is going to be more like the 360 Slim and the One S and removing the disc drive is just a way of cost cutting

Microsoft have released multiple SKUs during the 360 generation; Slim, Elite, Arcade, Core and redesign (the little black one that launched under Mattrick) and the One generation; One S, One X, SAD, SAD 2TB. Even the OG Xbox 2nd gen (see-through green crystal) ran notably faster than the launch models. There's no indication that Microsoft won't do the same with the Series consoles.

While the Series S and X will receive a refresh and in there will be tools/reconfiguration to fix the consoles. Look at the power of the Series X on paper, as a closed platform. There's no way it should be running games as ugly and as poorly as it does. The power is already there, it just isn't able to tap into it. They won't make a marketing splash about that because it will make it obvious that the launch consoles are borked.

Being bought out by Microsoft and becoming a publicly traded company would be the worst outcome for customers. Then it becomes fuck the customers, only the shareholders matter. Good thing Gabe still has a grudge against Microsoft and seems to be happy with the current wealth he has.
 
I'm gonna give them props on that controller if true, making an easily repairable controller with a user swappable battery is a good look when compared to how Sony have built their controllers for the past two decades.

That came into focus for me when I found out recently that the weird sports car team that I always wondered who they were.... Was Gabe starting a team for his kid to drive. Dude got moooooooooooooooooney for that.

The kicker: Of all the significant categories that once could currently race in, the one they don't have a presence in is called... GT3. The jokes, they write themselves.

Valve is a private company and when EA floated the idea Gabe said he would rather see the company burned to the ground then sell it. He is 60 now but I think he has enough fuck you money to get those good organs so we got a few decades before people start fighting over his dead body.
 
Diskless is just another word for "always online." The problem being, I think consumers have become more nigger-cattlish since the PS4/XB1 day of "What happens if I'm in a place without Internet?" - "I wouldn't want to live there." That shit bit Microsoft in the ass, hard, and I unfortunately don't think it'd hurt them today like it did then. And you can't convince me otherwise when Cloud Computing and AI is part of their business plan; they're either gonna sell you a server cluster to go with the system, or your system needs to call home. Also no surprise that Microsoft's "plan" is to just buy up all the competition. When they were trying to get the 360 to have a foothold in Japan, they made a lot of exclusive purchases; which is why games like Tales of Vesperia only had a 360 release in the USA, because they were throwing money around. As for buying out Nintendo, good fucking luck retard; you'll tank their brand faster than they'll help yours.

And your next big game (at the time of these papers) was Redfall? You mean that game that got like, a day of coverage, and a majority of coverage was to laugh at it and call it shit?

Oblivion is probably the most pointless of all the Bethesda games to remaster but I'm assuming this is squarely aimed at consolefags. Skyblivion has them sneeding hard.
 
The wildest thing to me besides their batshit insane pipedream to try, and buy Nintendo (lmao good luck faggot), is that there's still no mention of GTA 6 in any of the release schedules.

There's fucking Elder Scrolls 6 which according to Bethesda is still five years away, but GTA 6 which has already been in development for at least as long is still nowhere to be seen.
