Probably just stick with the auto-generated names unless they make you name them, then I'll go with historical figures like I usually do.

If you haven't been keeping up, you can actual make a permanent pool of prebaked rookies (Or base personall, or assasination targets, or etc) that can be randomly called up in ANY playthrough, so it's much more worthwhile to spend ages recreating celebs and such.

I had heard about the rookies, but not the assasination targets or other NPCs. That's pretty neat.

Yeah they can be signed as either soldiers, VIPs (Scientists, engineers, contacts, etc) or Dark VIPs (ADVENT collaborators you either kidnap or kill)

Usually historical/mythological stuff is what I go with for things like this. Though I usually just change their callsigns.

Here's a preview of the multiplayer. Concealment is a major mechanic. It's like hide-and-seek, except with aliens and plasma guns and enough high-ordnance explosives to level a major metropolitan city block.

Cool Ghosts has rapidly become one of my favorite "serious" lets play/review groups after their Subterfuge Diaries series. I just wish they played more games I actually cared about.

Fucking hell, even with the rolling release everyone is getting the game before Amazon gives me my fucking key. I didn't even want to buy it on Amazon, but I had textbook buyback credits that I couldn't spend anywhere else, plus a Student Prime discount.

Multi maps are procedurally generated? That's seriously excellent. I wonder if there will be a few consistent maps for more competitive play?

I was expecting a midnight release here in the UK, but it looks like I'll be getting it an hour earlier than anticipated. This makes me a lot happier than I would've thought it would.

What are you guys hoping for in terms of mods? I don't know that there's too much in the way of basic gameplay mechanics that I can think of atm. Probably the biggest thing I want is for someone to add Bronzeman back into the game.

Xenonauts 2 is confirmed, slated for 2017.
The game will be built in Unity and will feature 3d graphics. Looks like they're going to expand the Geoscape gameplay, totally overhaul the air combat to be turn-based and more infrequent, and are redesigning the aliens.
