$ (XMR) Monero

  • 🔧 Actively working on site again.
You totally changed the subject because what you said is it's impossible to get it anonymously. That's just retarded and wrong. Sure you may have no use for XMR, I usually don't use it either. But what you said was just fucking stupid.
where can I get a silver ntf, other than SI?

With Agoradesk closing down, are there any sites similar to it?

Preferably a platform that allows face-to-face sales.

No, the closest thing we have now is Haveno, which is both new and not user-friendly, so it's not popular.

Honestly I give up trying to teach people how to get XMR without KYC. Now I just tell them to get Monero with a credit card/bank account on either an exchange (Kraken) if they intend to do big amounts or do it often, or a direct buy platform (ChangeNow works well) to get XMR directly to their wallet, or LTC to swap if they can't get XMR in their jurisdiction.

I can't think of a place where buying crypto is illegal anyway, and once you have XMR in your wallet you can't be followed, so it's good enough for 99% of people, most of which just want to do it for fun or buy drugs.

Unfortunately the majority of the well-known, "trustworthy" exchanges refuse to do business in my country due to sanctions. Agoradesk had officially banned Russia but there was still a way to view local listings. I will find a way.

Thank you.

Definitely dont swap it over tor :epik: (as in using tor to avoid region block on a swap site)

Use a swap website over a vpn or tor

The IRS forcing crypto to be reported, and declaring "capital gains" from it as taxable, really puts into question how long XMR will be legal, or unregulated enough that its privacy won't be compromised. Letting them know that you have XMR just sounds like munition for them to enforce whatever bullshit they pass in the future.

why did they all shut down?

localbitcoins, localmonero, and now Agoradesk. what's the rationale? The services to my knowledge were US legal.

How much interest would their be in a platform specifically for in person XMR transfer?

We don't have the details, but when you have such a platform I assume you get a loooot of requests and harassment from government agencies to disclose information and collaborate, or else.
As confirmed by themselves on Dread and other such platforms, DNM sellers and other types of criminals that deal with Monero used those types of platforms a lot to launder their XMR into clean cash, and the govt knows it too. Since they can't track Monero they're trying to catch them through the laundering route.

Haveno is very young for now but seems to be solid. We'll see how it evolves.
Unfortunately we seem to have lost the "IRL trade" aspect for now.

I love XMR as I see it is the only private, well-known cryptocurrency. Unlike other currencies, this one is actually being used for transactions. I really don't like Bitcoin because someone can track where it has come from. That is why a lot of people like to use mixers. I just feel that it takes a lot of hassle to do online transactions.

There are two people asking for this, tops. No American institution even sells Monero anymore. Give it up.
Fellow Monero extremists, the supreme leader of this website lost confidence in XMR.

Since it changes over the years, a lot of people outside crypto circles can't follow what is the latest and best way to get Monero, so let's try to establish an up to date way to obtain it:

Let me know if you have anything to add, or if something is erroneous. I personally just use Kraken and mining, so I don't have a lot of personal experience with other services.
