Yandere Simulator (working title) is a stealth action video game in development and to be published by YandereDev (working name). Early development builds of the game were made available via its official website. The game's premise centers upon a jealous schoolgirl, Ayano Aishi, nicknamed Yandere-chan after the Japanese term "yandere", who has decided to eliminate anyone she believes is monopolizing her crush's attention.

Is he still working on getting the name changed to Lovesick?

Do a play through

Yandere Simulator is a fun little sandbox game to fuck around in and perform school murders in for about five minutes, then it quickly becomes quite boring when you realize there's not an actual game nor will there be for a long time considering the developer seems to be more interested in gradually adding features and easter eggs than making the actual core game.

While I get that e-mails can be annoying (especially if it's a question that's already been answered in an FAQ), he could just as easily not go through his e-mails about the game or possibly set it (or something else) up that he can close when he's not looking for feedback/questions/etc.

He definitely seems a little preoccupied with easter eggs at the moment. Yeah, some of it is fun and all, but personally I would've added stuff like that in after I had gotten a little further into development than it is currently. This isn't even mentioning how he's also making videos complaining about e-mails. Videos that require time and effort he could be putting into the game. He can blame the e-mails all he wants, but he's playing a role in the delays too.

Yeah, we want the game to be more polished in some aspects with other mechanics improved and expanded. Easter eggs should take the back seat and wait until most if not all of the core gameplay is finished and/or refined.

Definitely. Again, he can bitch about e-mails being the cause all he wants, but I honestly don't see how that's the "biggest obstacle" when he's spending all this time coding easter eggs.

Also, the Easter eggs aren't all that great either when you think about it- Just a bunch of unrelated mini-games and poorly realized Manga.

I'd rather see a lot of the gameplay mechanics either improved, implemented (more animations, the ability to to have more than one rival, hell, even try to get a female sempai for a bit of variety) or just outright fixed. But alas, that doesn't seem like it'll happen anytime soon if he keeps making e-mail videos or adding Easter eggs that are just cosmetic at best and compensating at worst.

If anything he seemed to focus a lot of work in making videos this time imo. I do see why Easter eggs are added and I don't really mind them much, but he kind of added way too many to the point he could've focused more on the main thing.

Still, glad that he made some decent progress for now.

Game is fun and will be a solid little game when it's done, but Evaxephon himself is thread worthy.
Thread's right here so have fun. :julay:

I think at one point that was considered. Don't know if that's still the case. Given that the game's probably coming out never, though...
Honestly, there's a fair amount of game mechanics I'd love to see, but probably won't happen. Like trying to kill a witness before they kill/apprehend you or have different rivals.

Though considering the man's moronically stupid work ethics, that's probably never going to happen.

It's times like this I wish he wasn't holding the coding in such a vice grip. I get it's his property, but he's not really getting much done and it's already been in development for two years with barely any progress. He needs help.

Yea, been watching some videos about the various glitches in the game, and honestly, I'm amazed Eva doesn't actually implement some of these and fix those to help expand the game, like the street being the dead zone when it could be open world. And that's before getting rid of some of the other game mechanics, like poisoning food.

It feels like the more I look at said videos, the more opportunities that feel wasted. It's a pity he's this adverse to criticism and refuses anyone to help him on the main game. This easily could have been an (unironically) enjoyable sandbox game.
