Yandere Simulator - Thank you for following the development of Yandere Simulator

Though, I'm of the mind of if we were to actually create and complete such a game, it should be available for free.
That would be the ultimate spit into Eva's face, wouldn't it? I'm not sure if everyone would be on board with that though, but I dunno

So if a roadmap's the way to go from here, who here is actually going to make it?

If this game is seriously going to be made we shouldn't follow the ideas of Yandere Similator too closely. Take a few unique twists and discourage killing people as @Catgirls are Love points out that should make things much more difficult. Nonviolent methods should be your tools; bullying, blackmail, pairing people together, framing people, find useful idiots, etc. The final rival should be another Yandere.

What I do like from yandere similator: clubs and classes giving you extra bonuses, reputation system, some easter eggs (and make them a mystery), and infochan offering tips and info on the students. But to avoid just taking pictures of all the students and then restarting the game the attributes of the students should be randomized.

I would replace gaming club with computer club to make it more general. The bonus from being in the computer club should be a tech wizard. In some schools they have filtering to block access to social media websites like youtube, facebook, etc. The attribute you get from the computer club is the ability to get access to blocked websites and can spend your time spreading misinformation and posting embarrassing misinformation on your rivals. Posting embarrassing videos and pictures you took of students. Computer club = hacking is too cliche. Lets go with something more mundane.

As for easter eggs, we should have one of the guys in the computer club talk about how he is making a really popular game and would have it finished sooner if it weren't for those meddling emails. Chris-chan and sonichu is obligatory to be added.

Yeah I'd like to be part of this.

You know, what I always found interesting about F:NV is the character of Ulysses. While his writing could've been better, the idea of someone you have unknown history with is interesting. I think it'd be cool for the other Yandere to kinda spy on you and call you out on the shit you did.

I'm not sure if everyone would be on board with that though, but I dunno

Free sounds like the best way to go- think of it as an alternative. Free can be great a reason to choose it over the original.

Since it's a group project maybe first define who wants to be a part of it

Count me in. I'll do whatever I can.

I think we should allow roles to overlap as in artists can have a hand in the script as well. That way if there's more than one person doing 2D art or whatever, they can merge ideas and work together.

So, okay... So far, we got here some ""rules"" for the project, right? And a few more that I suggest here:

1-We are making a good version of Yandere Simulator. It's a project, so we won't charge anything for it.
2-We will make sure that everything in this propotype will be original. That means: no Unity Assets, no MMD Stages and no asset that is implemented in the current game. Let's make all from scratch.
3-We will work and think as a group. Everyone here wants to make a good idea to become reality, so let's do this together!
4-And by originality, that means we have to create a base model. But we will only make this after planing everything that the game can and cannot have.
5-NO EASTER EGGS
6-NO OBSCURE REFERENCE
7-NO TORPEDO TITS
8-Most probably, no panty shots. They have nothing to do with stealth and sociopaths girls.

Is that good so far? :)

Then welcome to the project "lets make Eva cry in a corner" @Closet Sorcerer :heart-full:

EDIT : So we kinda have a beginning of a team so far so good, before we can tell who does what and try to find people for all different tasks we need to agree on the roadmap of the story though.

So we all agree here that we go for an anime parody ?

The final rival should be another Yandere.

Nice idea, as long this rival is not Info-chan. Cause, you know, it's WAY to obvious. Maybe we can create a whole new character for that, but with a backstory completely diferent from Yandere-chan.

You're in it ? Since you guys posted a lot.

I'm hella in, man!

Also, we should have more than one programer. This would make the game be produced faster. Who are the programers here?

This is a forum, so pretty much everyone can have a hand in it. Though we either need one person to compile it or a set of GoogleDocs that we can edit and argue about.

I'm not quite sold on the idea of Info-chan unless we can think of a very good reason as to why she's helping our little yandere in the first place. She kind of sits in an odd place, as she's helping Yandere-chan get rid of the competition because she doesn't want Senpai to end up with someone else, but she's essentially helping her competition get rid of the other competition. If we were to choose not to have an Info-chan, we'd need some other method of gathering information on the student body.

I'm fine with easter eggs so long as they aren't always in your face or easily findable/toggleable.

Come on, we gotta have Chris somewhere in the game.

Maybe something more appropriate would be "no relying on easter eggs to become popular with YouTube whores and 12 year old kids"

Dunno who this guy is, but okay XD Well, I think we can really make easter eggs that are actually nice. Cyborg Mode, for example, is well animated, have gameplay funcionality and it's not a plain parody. Maybe we can work with something like this, but only after the project is basically done!

Hmmm... I kinda like the idea of Info-chan, but I guess it would be too similar to Yandere Simulator XD Maybe we can just gather information from a popular student on school, like that guy from Scott Pilgrim who knows the entire world.

But everything else would have to be done by Yandere-chan herself. No relying on a weird hacker who just want to see her keikaku works.

Make it so one of the rivals gets eliminated by a mystery person before you even act. Also I think you should take out the concept of info chan out of the game entirely.

I thought about this. I'm against Info-chan being the latest rival, but she could have an interest in helping Yandere-chan.

I thought about money. Info-chan might need a ton of bucks for some reason (drugs, personal debt, being racketed, making a Yandere-dev sized pool of coins) and would help you against some money.
Which would work both ways, since any error you make and that she is aware of means any other student could learn it in exchange of some cash.

Maybe a character in the game that is always alone and doesn't show his face mumbling "stupid emails....i work 8 hours a day..how dare they say mean things..." for the easter egg :story:

How about skype or something where everyone can write in the same place without anyone else seeing it ? Theres also the timezone problem not everybody lives in the USA

Nice! What are the coding experiences you have? Something like a game prototype or a gif? :)
I'm a professional programmer.
Never made a game before, except the usual shit you make for programming exercises like an AI that will always win or draw at checkers, etc.

Yeah maybe someone should set up a Skype group or a Google Doc or whatever.

I'm fine with easter eggs so long as they aren't always in your face or easily findable/toggleable.
In the beginning where you're setting up your savefile and customizing your character or senpai or whatever you could put in a Easter Egg switch like the Wild Wasteland trait in New Vegas.

Dunno who this guy is, but okay XD
CWC. Obviously easter eggs would be last minute additions because we're not stupid.
