Both Koreas speak Korean. North Korea's is quite different from South Korea's, but it's still Korean. Unless the word Sarang is only in South Korea's Korean, I'm going to put this under bullshit.
It's also well established that Arirang, a song seen to be both about romantic lovers separated a river and two countries by ideologies, is a beloved non-official national anthem on both sides of the DMZ. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arirang
Here's a lovely version, that claims to be recorded in North Korea. I'm making assumptions above my station but I think it demonstrates the concept of familial and romantic love openly without the state nosing into the family. I don't speak Korean to any real extent so anyone with actual Korean skills please correct my interpretation but I think this is pretty propaganda-free? It mentions NK icon Mt Baektu but that's true of most versions I think.
Like somebody else said further down the thread, it's very possible the trauma of the famine permanently affected her ability to experience normal emotions. Or a language/literacy issue. Or she could be lying for cash.
I am on board for this woman, grift or not. I agree with others -- I don't know that she's a classic lolcow but she's fun and has potential to entertain. Get yours, girlie.
