Your Video Game Elevator Pitch - Original Ideas - Do Not Steal!

When I was a kid, I was in home depo. I imagined a vidya where you could run around picking up everything, murdering zombies. Like even picking up door knobs and throwing them at. Taking doors and beating up zombies and especially with all the various sharp implements.

And then Dead Rising got made.

So technically that game already exists.

But my other game idea is a detective game using Witcher 3 monster hunting mechanics and quest-lines. I think you could do it.
 
An open-world, dialog-and-choice-heavy RPG with Dark Souls combat and true "roleplay" is all I've ever wanted in a game.

Sounds like it'd just be a walking simulator with virtual novel elements, I can't say I'm especially impressed with your game idea, although Kotaku might put in a good word for it.

It doesn't seem like something they'd enjoy it. It's basically kryptonite for game journos. Doesn't even have an easy mode.

Have the Obsidian Entertainment guys who made New Vegas work on an Elder Scrolls like RPG centered around the Warhammer: Fantasy Battle universe. Fuck me, that would be so good if done right. The Vermintide series hints towards that so well, but gets stagnant when you replay the same maps over and over and over again.

But knowing Games Workshop, they'll sell the rights to a game like that to some nobody company in China and it'll be released as a freemium mobile game. And it'll be based on Age of Sigmar. Fuck Age of Sigmar.
 
Vanquish and Doom had sex and had a baby.
Basically, an FPS with the running speed of Doom and the acrobatics of Vanquish and other Platinum made games (with Mario levels of jumping), with a single player story and a multiplayer with loads of options. Wanna do Doom style deathmatch? You got it! A large game map like battle royale games? You got it. Racing? Sure, why not, you all move fast, just make sure not to fall. Last man standing? Teams? A third person view? Low gravity? You got it!

A kiwifarms game where you play as @Tard Baby. You have to make a certain number nonsensical shit posts in the day as possible or Null will ban you.

Seriously though a One Punch man open world game. You have to start as a class C hero and work your way up. If you take too long fighting a boss or completing a mission Saitama comes along and kills it before you can. The good ending is he acknowledges you as an equal. The bad ending is you end up fighting him and of course lose. The fight would have to seem cheap as hell but possibly winnable. Then after a certain point he just one punches you and the credits role as he talks about how he thought you might be worth fighting but he was wrong.

A MMO based on White Wolf's "Mage" series. Vampires and werewolves are played out, it's time the mages get their turn.

You choose your path, your major arcana and investigate the goings on. Factions can be joined, including the technocracy. Unbelievable spell customization that truly gives the idea of being able to create any sort of effect you can imagine
 
well ill fucking tell you what i want. escape machines. except it actually works as fucking promised. i paid a good fifty cents on a summer night with the promise of it being ported into UE4. and look what fucking happened? nothing. for 4 years . nothing will ever happen. i could've bought some bubblegum or something. that'd be better than this fucking ad-ridden mark-zuckerberg-felaciating feature-less fuckin' get quick rich scheme that this thing was. im still full of cold and bitter hatred from how bad this game ripped me off. im going to turn into not-important.
 
I want a mixture of different elements from saints row/GTA 5,skyrim/fallout, mass effect and the sims. I like simulation games because I can create things. The story elements from GTA/grittiness. The powers from saints row 4 for intergalactic planetary take over for special careers. Skyrim because of the medieval fantasy aspect and because fuck you dragons are cool. Fallout for its nuclear wasteland theme and the perk system and open world which you can edit or create yourself. Mass effect because I want to be able to explore space so it could be part of a career or story line. Sims because I like being god and I want to add fantasy and realism because EA seems to always shit the bed in some way. They don't look realistic enough to me even with mods and I want the interactions to be more realistic. I would make the rig for the characters have jiggle physics like the body itself jiggles not just the tits or ass. Lastly they can fuck like actual sex none of that covers shake bullshit and hearts pop out ? so that means babies/anatomical parts and collision so it doesn't clip.
Edit: Should clarify in my made up game I want it to be an open world that you can edit or with right program can create yourself not that in fallout you can edit the world.

I like your style. I wish you were the head of some company and could pitch this.

Saint's Row IV/Protype combat, Mad Max setting, with a GTA 5 and Mass Effect story/scope, with variety and replayability like the Sims; that's epic, my friend. I think one day in the future we can get to this level.

So are you in favor of hardcore fucking and the like, or do you mean just without the nonsensical censoring? I can't tell if you're a true artist or just a deviant here.

The first because of the realism and I know people can't or don't like to watch regular porn because to them it might be gross so in this case they have an outlet they can control and add their own stories to make it more interesting.I certainly would not be able to verbal diarrhea my idea in 30 seconds or however long that elevator ride is though. If Cyberpunk is any indicator that making a balls to the wall interesting game means development hell then surely my idea would take eons also I think you would have to have the strength of the nemo computer from Saintsrow to run the damn game. I'd also want it to be modder friendly/ good customer service so the community around it won't dissolve because of shit tier service like EA provides or making it exclusive to only certain distributors my only real worry is if it becomes just as autistic as secondlife that's why I wouldn't have it be a multiplayer or a place were you roleplay with others that shit is cringy. Also my coding/creating skills are non-existent and running a company that's funny I have no business sense, but thank you for the kind words. The bottom 2 aren't mutually exclusive.
 
Star Wars Battlefront 2's Galactic Conquest mode as a standalone and more fleshed out game.

What this mode entails is that the player and the computer (or a theoretical second player) both start off with one "fleet" which serves as a game board piece to move around a map. In the game itself you start off with minimal planets and all others are hostile, but in a two player rendition this would need to be balanced somehow (maybe even territory). It also allows you and your opponent to buy modifiers to apply before a confrontation, things like doing more damage, having a higher reserve of soldiers, sabotaging enemy vehicles to start at low health, etc. You can hold 3 modifiers at a time and their cost varies from 200 to 800 currency. You start out with only an infantry class for the ground conflicts, but you can buy other units, which cost 1000 currency. These units are fairly specialized, so much so that you would not really by able to go out of your role. The demolitions guy can't fight on the frontlines, the infantry can't really countersnipe, etc.

Conflicts play out in this way:
  • If your fleet contacts an enemy planet, you fight on the ground. The objective here is Battlefield: drain the enemy reinforcements or capture all points on the map. If you win you get the planet and earn a winner bonus and the planet is accounted into your per-turn income. If you lose, your fleet is destroyed (if you have no fleets you can build one on any owned planet for free, and each one goes up by an increment of 1000 in currency)
  • If your fleet comes into the same space as an enemy fleet, you fight in space. In space, the objective is to reach a point limit. Points are earned minorly by killing enemy units and majorly by destroying aspects of your enemies fleet after you take down their shields, such as the engines or communications array. You can also board the enemy ship to attempt to knock out shields, auto defense turrets and two external targets. Winner survives, loser fleet is destroyed.
  • If two fleets contact each other over a planet, the foreign fleet must both destroy the enemy fleet and invade the planet. Failure at either destroys the fleet.
This goes on until one player has conquered the entire galaxy. In terms of fleshing out, I would add a turn timer and definitely make it a multiplayer game. Also, make the shooting mechanics more satisfying. The time to kill is high but rewards accurate shooting with crits on both people and vehicles. Other than that the ships all have hard categories and are reasonable, except maybe the generic fighter which I never use. The speed fighters are better but then again I always knock out the auto defenses, so that might be the reason, and I'm sure my style of play wouldn't fly against a human opponent.

Oh also definitely take off the Star Wars label, hell maybe even set it in naval aerial terms instead of as a sci-fi game.

Part Stardew Valley, part Tropico. Build up your dream manor by running the most efficient plantation you can. Grow coffee, cotton, tobacco, and more across maps in Cuba, Iraq, the Congo, Liberia, Louisiana, Georgia, and more. Play in time periods from the Middle Ages to the modern day.

Breed new crop strains, and deal with issues like the seasons, blight, and hostile weather. Breed new slaves with a CK2-inspired RPG system, and build a dynasty. Experiment with the carrot and the stick, setting favorites up as house slaves and torturing the resistant to keep terror. And, combat mechanics, as you have to defend your estate from Indians, slave rebels, and Yankees.
