So it's been about 2 and a half weeks.

The community stance was to ignore everything not explicitly illegal (even though its insane) and ignore the evidence for the illegal stuff and "wait for his response" and that he needs to respond because enough has been alleged that requires it

How much longer before we consider this not responding? He's gone radio silent. Has uploaded one video at the very beginning, not posted on any of his other socials. Do we need a full year of silence before that's considered non responsive?

And before anyone says "what are we repeating the slazo innocent people dont stay silent for this long tweet???"

Chey made the allegation June 10th. Slazo responded June 27th.

Tom has now taken longer than that. I would understand taking 2 and a half weeks to gather proof (if he had it, but it sounds like he just collects revenge porn) but at this point he's just not responding. Duh. Its the only way he can keep printing money.

Just out of curiosity, I looked back at how he handled Pyro. He responded basically immediately and when it didn't go well he disappeared for 2-3 months to let it die down (dec-march). When he came back he spammed videos until people stopped caring.

I think we can expect him to do something similar. This time he knows that responding (even though he needs to) will just make things worse for him. So he's just going straight into his exile arc. He'll come back after 2-3 months. I'm thinking late Feb to early March. He'll spam his shitty video essays that he copy pastes from the farms (bad timing with firing his team lmao, he'll have to put abusing his girlfriends on hold to really push through that workload) and never address it.

If his commentary friends don't count any of that time as not responding, then when he comes back they'll pretend nothing happened "it's so old why do you even care, some dumb egirls got jilted, they liked being raped" And then commentary totally implodes ig.

Nick Deorio was talking about it last night, and apparently they recorded a Half-Baked the day before the allegations came out. But, it's clear that he's very annoyed that Tom hasn't said fuck-all to anyone about it.

Apparently he wiped any incriminating videos of his:
Wow, why does he look like David Torres/Dahvie Vanity? Strange fucking person.
Feels like yesterday when I tought this douchebag and scene "people" were the worst of the worst (back in 2010/2011). Shitlibs and lolicons sure gave them a run for their money.

I got to say: on my view as someone who doesn't check these "dramatubers" or people who view the type of channels like Charlie White who say in the title of the video "allegations against llamaman are crazy", I would wager they want to keep the peace first and foremost. This means: bring no """heat""" towards the community or their channels. And keep the $$$ coming.

As for how Niall Comas/Pyro disappeared then came back, well, that's always a possibility. Laying low, but some people can't stay the fuck away from their PCs, right?

Predators of a feather flock together? I guess they toured together at one point too,
Has to be. Honestly it amuses me "scene" is still a thing nowadays. Must be riddled with troons and STIs, and must have become a subculture of the former much like goths did.

I'm more surprised that people still give a fuck about Richie (SocialRepose) anymore. This has all been known for YEARS. Like a decade at this fucking point.

He was a huge thing in the early 2010s, but he was also marred with controversy.

Firstly, bc white guy wearing feather headdress.

Then he got push back because he was friends with pieces of shit. But truthfully, It never got anyone super cancelled back then, unlike now where you're ex-communicated by the public for even looking at wrongthink tweets.

(This is how Jeffree Star also basically got away with being a close associate with Dahvie Vanity. He was given the benefit of the doubt because people thought of it as "J* didn't do anything bad!" Even though that's a whole different rabbit hole and J* knew).

What really killed Richie's public opinion was when it got exposed he's just a manipulative man baby piece of shit, being exposed by his ex-fiancé Jaclyn Glenn (of Eugenia Cooney rehab fame) for typical fuckboy shit: I think it was he wanted an open relationship, she didn't, he cheated anyway and then made her feel like she was the wrong for being upset by that. That is pretty scummy.

And I think he got exposed around that time by the girls he cheated with, because they were fans and he was literally hooking up with them in the venue's bathrooms and trashy shit.

He deflected hard about his choices and basically blamed Jaclyn for him being engaged to her while he didn't even want to be monogamous. I think he was the one that proposed to her.

Basically: he's a manipulative piece of shit. Always have been, always will be.

At this point if you're fucking with Social-fucking-Repose, that's on you.

I've noticed commentary creators have been revisiting old internet controversies like this ("retrospectives") and reigniting old drama for clicks.

Mostly because a lot of new controversies are happening with these commentary channels friends and they can't talk about it. (See also: the Turkey Tom situation and the radio silence about it by major commentary channels.)

But also mostly because there's a new audience for it - zoomers.

Unfortunately I was a terminally online teenager around that time, on tumblr and shit way before I should've been and was there when it all happened lmfao.

I think you'll find in her case, she's just discovered him. She's only been doing Youtube for about a year. He's her typical type of video she does on people. And he's a creep in his 30's(?) who is hanging out with and sexualizing teenage girls, and hung out with DV as you pointed out who has done ore than just hanging out. But while J* condoned it when #metoo was at it's peak, I believe SocialRepose did not? Honestly not sure about that though, I never really followed him.

There are now accusations that Tom was DMing a 15 year old while he was 20; however, the accuser is giving Tom grace and claims he could've not known the age.

Note that this exchange takes place over Nick reacting to an Internet VS video so there's gaps where he tries to un-pause and do some more reacting, and then pause again to keep going, you get the idea.

Chatter asks "Nick any updates on Tom's end?"
"Well I do know that he hasn't killed himself. So I don't know if he's quite reached his end. I dunno, that's the extent of it."
-
"Maybe we should make a half baked episode about it called "Tom's end". This is probably intended as a reference to the episode of Hot Wet Soup called "The End" where the other hosts took a hot wet shit on Zaptie courtesy of ImAlexx; relevant context: Nick kind of took it upon himself to try to clear Zaptie's name of the allegations made in that particular podcast.
-
"I don't know if he's quite reached that point."
-
"I would love for him to respond, so we can see what happens, and potentially Vega doesn't have to keep this episod- dude this episode of Half Baked...if he[Tom] somehow turns this whole thing around...I dunno what episode this is. We released the*, because people were begging for the podcast to come back and it's obviously not coming back unless there's like a serious fucking thing that we are unaware of, but um the podcast was supposed to come out an episode like the day that the allegations dropped and it got put on ice, and I imagine Vega would very much like to release that episode, so...it'd be really cool if he could come back and show some receipts."
-
"why no for podcasting?- I'm not doing anything with him unless he explains himself...and has actual shit to show."
-
"Nick did you criticize pokimane for not releasing the Hasan episode of her podcast?-bro what in the hypocrisy rape hunt are we doing on that one? What do you think that actually approves of the situation? Hey dude, I dunno if I want to put out my podcast that I've done in a long standing thing- this is not a guest episode where they bring on Hasan on go talk about his favorite designer products or luxury goods, it's a long standing show: it's on ice until he[Tom] responds, if you don't like that, go watch somebody else. I don't care. I don't even take a paycheck off the show so I realistically shouldn't be able to make the call, but it's made."
-
"On ice? hah, yeah that's the real tease is that Tom was actually deported because he's Bulgarian"

*He could be about to refer to any or all of about 3 or 4 things, because I'm pretty sure all the content around that episode was released already: recently for every episode there's been a speed art bit, a pre-show bullshitting session members only bit, and I think there's also an artist and vega discussing the art video. Then there's the statement vega put out too.
Just a small caveat since you say charged. He wasn't just charged, he was convicted of 14 different counts of sexual assault/harassment against 8 different women. Assaulting 5 women, harassing 3, and possessing porn on a government PC. I also wouldn't call 4 1/2 years ago 'back in the day'.

Him defending the dad as a 'gooner' would be an epic level sweep of just trying to focus in on the least serious charge and ignoring the actual assault/harassment.
2026 - 2011 = 4.5?
That's 2011 when Tec's dad was convicted, it seems like the allegations may date back a few years before then, and those CSPAN videos looked like VHS rips so I'll defend my characterization of that being "back in the day" to the death lol.

And just so we're crystal clear, Tectone was the only one defending Tectone's dad in the transcribed interaction.

Hot wet soup…

Who the fuck am I gonna talk about this shit with when the community implodes? I’ll just have all the community lore bouncing around forever, should have read a book or something…

I still consider myself a part of it and you're unfortunately correct. Same with Emos, Ravers and...Nu-Metal (odd if you know how many bands threw the faggot slur around in a non-"reclaiming" way).
I love these subcultures but I hate the people who have infested them LMAO
