"I need my fans to step up okay?! *snort*"
so apparently i'm going to jail, okay?
oh my gawd, dood
you guys got lazy and didn't give me the 2.. i mean 3 million i wanted and now i'm fucked
maybe if some of you IDIOTS didn't listen to DETRAHCTOR KHANTENT, you would have stepped up.
i tried calling youtube but they said they couldn't do anything but they loved my KHANTENT.
so i'm going to sue the government but i can't afford a lawyer, so i'm making khet, *thumbs door* my wife, do it for me, sound good?
khet says she'll have a friend over so she's not lonely when i'm in jail

$42,000 fine per video x 50,000 videos = $2,100,000,000 fine

ok I'm not dead but I wish I was.jpg

On the one hand I'd say DSP is way too small a fish for the FTC to actually bother with. On the other hand, his massive video catalog might actually get him on their radar.

would he be safe if he went on a mass deleting spree on YT? I think the only thing that could really get him would be his minecraft streams where he has kids name objects.

Hypothetically a child finds Phil's Pokemon video. Phil is yelling "suck my cock" and stuff like that. Isn't that one of the problems they are trying to fix?

Phil plays children's games. Before you can watch him play you need to listen to "fuck your mother and your brother" song.

I saw he replied to someone on the mirror last night who asked about the COPPA situation and his reply was basically

"yeah I've marked all my stuff as not for children which is what they wanted me to do so it's all fine"

He's literally fallen into the trap like the greedy little goblino he is!

So instead of taking the hit and demonetising some videos to be on the safe side he's instead thinking

"hmmmm these really obviously kid games like Mario etc might get flagged and get me in trouble one day because of this - never mind I think they are not for kids so that's that!"

What a fucking moron dave is

For a minute I was thinking it would be a good idea to take a 'wait & see' approach in this thread, as opposed to spelling out exactly how and why he is wrong, what the consequences will be, and the steps he needs to take to avoid those consequences. . .but then I remembered that this is Phil Burnell who without looking into it has already declared "Pfffft, I say 'Poopy Fart Dick Fuck Butt' in my videos. That means your laws don't apply to me!"
He's already decided his response is to stick his head up his ass and call anyone who mentions it a moron, until the FTC contacts him to let him know he can keep his head right where it is because they are going to tear a new one for him.

I'm not even sure I want something to come of this, let alone hope it will. I wouldn't trust the government to tie its own shoes, let alone bring the hammer down equitably on people en masse who may be violating a law. I have a feeling all this will serve to do is open up some huge class action suit that will take years to resolve and in the meantime people will just keep doing the same shit anyway. The internet has been around for decades and lawmakers still don't understand it; how are you going to expect them to understand how chucklefuck YouTubers are breaking FTC regulations?

Pig's stupidly lucky at ducking out of facing consequences of his actions, so I will say he oozes by this change with little fuss for now. I'd love if Pig had to pay fines like this and get in trouble, but I already predict he'll just do something dumb like mass delete his stuff on there or something like that.

Pig is cockroach lucky and only stops being lazy when his money is on the line.

They don't call him the pigroach for nothing. He'll be fine. Somehow, someway he'll be fine.

I still think he'll get fucked with and he'll jump up and down on camera like a crazed monkey about it. That should be fun.
Again, I really hate this mindset, mainly because Phil loves when people say this shit about him, but also just because it's wrong. DSP has been getting progressively fucked over and over again over the past 7 years, he hasn't been "fine" for a long time, and he's barely hanging on to even having fans at this point. Mark my words, at some point DSP will be gone, he won't be around forever. Just because him falling in to total obscurity is taking years doesn't mean it's not happening, people don't just vanish over-night.

But seriously do think about how much DSP loves the pigroach meme, he may not like the term but he loves thinking of himself as invincible.

I think "fine" is mainly used to refer to financial wellbeing, since that's the only aspect of his own life Phil cares about.

I've still got money in Vegas on a health issue being what breaks him. He's got no decent insurance to hear him tell it but it won't matter if it's a chronic condition that requires regular treatment and medication. Liver disease or something like it will wipe out his savings; he's not that wealthy.

That motherfucker hasn't been to a dentist in over a decade.

A FUCKING DECADE!

And something tells me that Dave isn't Robert Neville from the book "I am legend". He's not OCD about brushing his teeth because, well, he's the only human left so no one can fix his teeth if they get fucked up.
In fact, it very well could be a medical condition that is caused by or aggravated by those nasty ass teeth of his.

Anyone remember SOPA, the stop online piracy act? While he'll embellish his importance, Phil was very outspoken about the bill. He didn't just click a button on YouTube, shrug his shoulders, and call it a day. Wonder what makes them so different? It couldn't just be because he thought one bill would effect him while the other wouldn't, right? That would be the shallowest of reasons imaginable.

Phil loves to take the roll as flag bearer and speak up for not just himself but all the poor content creators being treated unfairly, as long as he thinks he is in the crosshairs of course.

This video on the subject of COPPA is really good, this guy did his research and it scared the shit out of him. I've given it a fun timestamp for a section that may be particularly interesting.

All of this really kicks in January 1st, so for now DSP doesn't have to worry, but come the 1st he may indeed get fined several times over for refusing to mark his content as for children. The writers knew exactly how to hook us for this storyline.

Edit:
Another spicy timestamp.
