YouTubers you hate that everyone else likes

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
That's the point of the channel, really. You'll see plenty of comments in the comment section along the lines of "I love watching FoundFlix summarize movies I'll never watch anyways."
I can at least give him credit in that he seems to know he's just a story summary channel. There's a lot of channels like Salt Factory who do the same thing but for video games but actually call their videos shit like "Game: a retrospective" or "An analysis of Game."
Ah fair enough. I suppose I just find the content super lazy because he labels it as "endings explained", even when some films have pretty clear-cut endings.

I guess I've been spoiled by channels like Acolytes of Horror and Real Delusional Pictures, the latter of which goes through the movies but continually provides an analysis and discussion of themes.

I would like Ryan Hollinger too if not for the fact that he has begun asking for subs and likes at the beginning of his every video.

DougDoug. His main channel stuff is decent but in the original streams it seems like the guy hates his chat. He's also a Californian and so says dumb liberal shit every now and then.

Though it might be bias talking because I used to really like him, he didn’t used to be like this, yet I totally agree about his current state. It’a common that some streamers just can’t handle the change from, say, a 2000-person chat to a 5-6000 one, and it really would appear that he couldn’t keep up.

DougDoug's biggest problem right now is that his actual content output has dropped to almost nothing. He used to have entertaining stuff at least once a week, now it's once a month, maybe.

I think a big part of it is that he stopped doing a lot of the stuff he likes (Fucking around in Skyrim/GTA, making chat play Peggle, various stupid challenges).

Instead, he's started just legit playing ultra-hard stuff that his chat keeps demanding (Dark Souls, Spelunky) that he's pretty bad at, and he gets actually frustrated to the point that he's just mad at his chat instead of bantering.

Or he does something his chat keeps demanding, even though he KNOWS is going to be impossible, boring, and not entertaining (Chat tries to survive in Minecraft). And is visibly bored, frustrated, and aware that it's a giant waste of time and effort.

I hope he can make a rebound if he starts doing stuff he knows well and likes again.

I find Gigguk/Garnt and The Anime Man/Joey to be hypocritical hacks who found a niche within the casual anime circle, and yet both have made comments or said things about anime that shows they don't understand the wider culture of it all.

Also speaking of them, I know this isn't the "Youtubers you like that everyone else seems to hate" thread, I have no issue with their podcast co-host Connor/CDawgVA. He's kind of a weenie but in a way that is kind of wholesome and nice.
I cringed away from Anime Man the moment he started bragging that he's an anime expert by default because he's half Japanese. Like, wut

They all sort of annoy me because of how much they unintentionally flex their money.

They did a bunch of episodes of "We spent over X dollars in an arcade/at anime stores/ect" that was pretty much them just acting like loud, spoiled, rich foreigners annoying the workers.

It's just a problem with all youtubers now, a complete disconnect about the value of a dollar. Red Letter Media are humble because they were about to go under before Mike did the Plinkett reviews and were normal schmoes. Pewdiepie of all youtubers doesn't seem concerned with money or had that phase burned out of him.

A few random thoughts:
Linus Tech Tips: For all the reasons already mentioned, in addition to that disgusting fat guy who often appears on his channel. All I can think of whenever I see that grotesquely fleshy face of his is that he probably needs to use a toilet paper-wrapped stick—basically a giant q-tip—to wipe his ass.
Honestly, his fat face is worse than famously fat degenerates like the Gunt, Boogie2988 (pounds) or the Avocado faggot.
Jesse Cox - Remember when someone made a trap joke and he basically told his entire fanbase that if they find the guy they should kick him out? I mean, even if you think the trap thing is an inappropriate joke, isn't it kinda shitty and dangerous to send your entire fanbase after one guy? If he wasn't on "the right side" he'd be lectured about using his platform appropriately. Also, what kinda narcissist names a convention after themselves unironically?
Notice how he has almost a million sub, but can't get a single recent video above 100k views.

To be fair, this is in the context of AniTube, where I believe almost nobody has any familial ties to the country or nearly no knowledge of the language. So having those ties and linguistic ability does put him ahead of the other AniTubers, IMHO.

One thing I don't like how Joey is how plays fast and loose with his actual Japanese ability. Sometimes he will say is native, other times he will say just "high level". I definitely think it's high level, but the caginess makes me suspicious (NOTE: I do not speak Japanese).

Jesse has almost had a million subs for years now, he even had a "year of a million subs!" campaign maybe four years ago? It didn't work. I enjoy a lot of what he does (like the conspiracy/cryptid podcast he cohosts) but I also stay away from his twitter.

VaatiVidya, It's just regurgitating stuff 100 people have said in online discussions and in game info but fluffed to hell with annoying bullshit and his drawn out phrasing of everything. "When *noun from souls game* bull shit ramble bull shit..."but then ...*insert item description* however can it bull shit ramble bull shit *rip off reddit posts* bull shit bull shit..."

I actually do enjoy Fallout and Skyrim ones done by people like Nerbit and Mitten Squad. They usually just do goofy things for shits and giggles. Mitten Squad especially is just hilarious and actually fails a few challenges, but still beats the game anyway.
Yeah, the bethesda type RPGs and Mario game ones are usually fine since they do occassionaly fail the challenge, or have to resort to exploits to win rather than just playing Pokemon but with a shit team.

Apart from him being an e beggar the fact that he acts like he owns Japan and everything japanese, like that one time he told Logan paul to "get the fuck out of his country"

To be fair, I think all of Japan wanted Logan Paul to get the fuck out of the country.

The Completionist - Dude's a bit of a Lolcow since he and the rest of Normal Boots distanced themselves from JonTron and threw my boy under the bus. Knowing that he's now attached to the dumpster fire that was the G4 revival (really, dude. Fucking why? You get more views than they average daily) makes me hate his ass even more out of spite.

Maximillion Dood - Seems okay-ish at first. His circle of friends tend to suck his dick a lot more on streams. Actually named his kid Ripley.

Binging with Babbish - Dude likes the sound of his own voice way to much. Thinks he's the "god of cooking", because LOL studio apartment.
