Respectfully, I disagree. Yahtzee's not a grifter in the sense of pretending to care about a hobby he hates, like Sterling. The only thing this man has done in his life is play videogames and write about them. Walking Sims just morphed into having the most basic of gameplay so they would dodge the label, plus it became popular back then to criticise them since the concept of punching down wasn't as common (and even then a lot of big companies made those).

The crazy thing is that stopping the reviews and cutting SW loose to focus on that other stuff wouldn't even require him to do anything new. He's already published novels and commercial games and is probably working on at least one of those things right now. Yahtzee has a weird phobia of running his own Youtube channel, but he really seems to be in a perfect position to keep making the books and games he's been making his whole life. Zero Punctuation was kind of a fluke from the beginning, a lucky break based on a throwaway video review that he's now been riding for 18 years.
