How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

What Bob doesn't realise is that society is three meals away from revolution. Now, if you take away 50% of the population's ability to get those meals, and if you remember that a revolution only needs support from 3% of the population to win, it doesn't look good for the Movieblob dictatorship.
I'm only disagreeing with this because Venezuela's been starving for years and they don't care enough to riot.

All we do know is if Bob got his weird superior future he'd instantly start tantruming and bawling because he didn't get his fairly small portion of McDickholes and beer. Kind of like how he'd chimp if his David Spade/Chris Farley Mario 1997 film was made, despite how he claimed he'd love it.

All I've seen is that they really want to try, even harder than Nolan, at doing a serious "Batman in the real world" type thing rather than superheroics.
You know, I think DC, Disney and Marvel would have more success if they focused less on the super-heroics(CGI, special effects) and gave us more variety on the stories and characters in their movies.

And by variety I don’t just mean diversity or gender, I mean in terms of genre and character-wise.

The 'Joker' movie made bank because it was basically the comic-book movie equivalent to a Manga. It had a beginning, middle and an end. There was no superfluous shit. You didn't need to understand Batman to get into it. Anyone could just watch it. There was no continuity, no excess baggage and no superheroes. Everything was self-contained. You just watched it and enjoy it. 'Joker' basically broke the superhero genre to its core.

People want these unique stories with no baggage. They want to start at chapter 1 and end at chapter 20 and then get something different.

I read somebody's account online of trying to follow the Ant-Man movies without following any of the other MCU offerings, and having it be a jumbled mess of an experience. I completely agree that trying to make movies which rely on seeing a dozen or so other offerings to fully understand (maybe 3-5 to mostly understand) makes for an exhausting experience. I'm mostly just sick of movies which end with a setup for not only a sequel/trilogy, but a bunch of different spinoffs and a cinematic universe (eg, King Arthur, The Mummy) and it's like, Christ almighty I don't want to deal with this.

I unironically put the US starting down the path of serious (whether real or perceived I don't think matters as I believe the effects will be the same) food shortages in 3-4 months from now. If someone's got a white pill for me I'll gladly hear you out but until then I suggest you load up your larders now while Bob's still afraid to go outside to ensure you get enough.
Speaking from an accelerationist point of view, when the shortages come, there will be pictures contrasting empty supermarket shelves with the rich, famous, and politicians glutting themselves. Bob and company will step up to defend them, of course, but most Americans will be hungry, furious, and armed to the teeth.

In Minecraft, of course.

The friend that I saw the first Ant-Man with hadn't seen Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron beforehand so they were very confused at the Falcon cameo who I explained was "the cheapest Avenger".

I'm hoping that the Cinematic Universe bubble bursts soon, and studios start focusing more on standalone movies.

Ironically, when the Marvel movies first started out in Phase 1/Early Phase 2, you really didn't need to have seen any of the others in order to "get" what was going on. The cameos were nice little bonus Easter eggs for people who had seen the other films.

I think things really started to fall apart with Captain America: Civil War, which will make absolutely no sense if you hadn't seen the previous MCU entries. Civil War was probably one of the best MCU films, yet one of the absolute worst standalone films.

Honestly, I'm even okay with sequels/trilogies! Something like what Sonic the Hedgehog is doing, where they tease a sequel with Tails. That's okay by me. But I do not, absolutely do not want, to watch a dozen or so unrelated movies to find out why Sonic the Hedgehog is suddenly driving forklifts with Kiryu Kazuma in the sequel.

Of course, now that I'm thinking about it, that's why people are freaking out about people revealing spoilers about the Eternals. Because they need some way to justify seeing a boring looking movie that wouldn't be appealing if not for the "Marvel" logo slapped in the front. And if that's spoiled, why would they need to see it? They now know why Thor's going to appear as the owner of a car wash franchise in Thor 4: Stop, my Anus is Thor, and there you go.

I collected Comic books since I was a kid in the 80s. Mostly Marvel Comics.

I HATE the MCU experience

Movies have no weight, no good character drama, all is just mediocre action scens (Shang Chi didnt revolutanize anything, its B- movie to anyone who watched Kung Fu flicks) and now the worst thing ever is the Disney+ shows. No WandaVision is not good TV, its really really bad TV. But now you have to watch hours and hours on end to understand why the universe is working as...

I DONT GIVE A SINGLE FUCK ABOUT THE UNIVERSE, GIVE ME GOOD STORY

With all the comics nonsense and chaos of things like 80s x-men and 90s Spider-Man, there were at least trying to tell good character driven stories. When it comes to the MCU its all about FOMO pills and spoiler vaccinations instead of movies. No one talks about scenes relating to the current movie only about references and theories for the next one, like endless cycle of free 2 play phone game.

I wonder how often his "stomach bugs" are just a hangover. Barring that, I doubt food poisoning so much as just a 40 year old man eating garbage like he was still a teenager.
It's probably a combination. We've seen him showing off his terrible cooking before, it's likely his weight loss is because he's making himself sick.

I saw Avengers with a girl who hadn't seen any of the other movies and she had no issues with following it.

Also, Winter Soldier is the best MCU movie.

:offtopic:, but I actually discovered Bob's brother Chris's Twitter account:
https://twitter.com/thechippa?lang=en
Beyond some retweets of and responses to Blobbo, he comes off as a normal enough guy, compared to how emotionally/mentally unstable Matey Potatey is.

His twitter photo's hilarious, showing that Chris at the very least, is married and has a kid, something Boob will never achieve.

If only we had known how bad it was gonna get *sigh*...

You see that wood floor above? Take a good look at that bad rabbit.

Because that wood floor is frequently violated by these motherfuckers below:

New or not, that wood has experienced more horror and shame than any kiwi. And, being wood, it will carry that horror, shame and stench on through the decades.
I’m worried to what they do to the toilet.

Imagine Bob's house getting ransacked during this. Would people be horrified by the sights and smells, or excited someone had that big a stash of Mountain Dew still?

Word salad and repressed self-esteem ahead!

the pic is a short video of Sora faceplanting

And here comes the only kind of salad that gets close to Bob.

At a certain point Ryu became Japanese character-designers looking at how Americans re-interpreted what was initially the "default domestic good guy" for the roster as a raging karate muscle-monster and going "Well HELLO THERE, repressed self esteem - how you doin'... 😏"
I have no idea what he's even getting at. Reading it, and especially out loud, makes it almost seem like a pretty decent AI composed this, like sub 10 level Tay AI. It seems like he's trying to take a swipe at Americans? But Capcom is a Japanese company and they're the one kept increasing the roid level of all the male characters for a game that was always Japanese focused. The character designs are either impossibly built muscle men, ex. Kenshiro of Fist of the North Star or anyone from DBZ, or wispy, girly men that have more zippers and superfluous pieces on their clothes than hairs on their head, ex. Monster Hunter or the Final Fantasy series from 10 on. That's not including the LITERAL THOUSANDS OF DESIGNS IN BETWEEN OR BEYOND EITHER EXTREME.

It's almost like Bob thought of something that he thought was smart after having mama Chipman bring him his 5th Pabst, rushed it out for the world to see and didn't bother to think "do I know what I'm talking about?"
I'm only disagreeing with this because Venezuela's been starving for years and they don't care enough to riot.
I respectfully disagree and say the main reason that Venezuela, and in a more broader sense the rest of the world, hasn't broken into full out riots is that, unlike the US, they are not armed. That's why I believe there's such a big push to remove those pesky weapons and why Bob is all for everyone besides him to be disarmed. I encourage all fellow Bobologists to not be a Bob. Get yourself strapped and become somewhat proficient with your fire arm. Even if Bob is telling the truth about owning guns he also claims that he only goes about once a year to the range which is pathetic. Oh and don't be like this old Ralph or the other Ralph and throw away that right by fighting with the law.

That's one of the other decent things that's getting lost, the idea of having characters and concepts introduced in a film being understood by watching that film alone instead of all the supplementary material. We didn't need an introductory movie for Hawkeye for his appearance in the original Thor to be noteworthy. Audience's aren't so stupid that they need to start at square one of a character's story to relate to them, sometimes, perhaps, they can just appear in the movie and carry their role through the gravitas brought to the role by the script/acting/directing.

Or perhaps they need their own cinematic universe too! Wowzers!!

There's another reason why they haven't been in that country. Most of its inhabitants are simply too cowardly to try a revolution and/or are simply enamored of a white knight coming to that country and dethroning the big bad dictator aka an intervention from USA. A bit of Powerleveling here, but I had the misfortune to meet a lot of people from Venezuela that are simply all bark, and no bite. They victimize themselves and think they know better to dictate where other countries should pick in politics. Which leads to very exceptional experiences. Some are even racists against those that took them in the first place when they were running.

Bob would love to be there. Stupidity runs wild, and they wouldn't know better if Superyoan futah became next third Reich for them
