I honestly think this is worth front page news @Rokko @Trombonista

While this is likely to be appealed, Dragonlord has been sentenced to two years in prison with no chance of probation, due to multiple counts of insults and infliction of bodily harm/assault (towards visitors).
He had previously been sentenced to 7 months probation for pepperspraying a visitor.
Originally a verdict was expected on the 28th (two days were scheduled) but they got through it in a single day.
The defense asked for 2 years on probation (citing Dragonlord's willingness to move and lay low, having recently sold his decrepit ruin house which he will move out of in January), the state asked for 2.5 years without probation. Judge "compromised" on 2 years without probation.

A couple of explanations as to his background and pre-youtube existence that may not have been covered by Dankula can be found in the previous pages, where the Germankiwis have been switching to English in anticipation of this event.


To clarify : Insulting people publicly (or disseminating insults through a public medium) is punishable under German law. Rainer regularly insulted the police and individual policemen / patrols in his streams when they did not arrive fast enough for his taste (he would call them multiple times daily, basically whenever someone visited him and expected them to show up within minutes)

That's a clear sign that his lawyer knew, that Winkler was screwed and wanted to show, that he's aware of the seriousness of the situation. One last attempt to solicit pity.

And the judge shot that down. The state attorney demanded 2.5 years, which means prison.

The judge then decides, get this, to choose 2 years WITHOUT probation.
That's a middle finger right in his mug.
She lowered the sentence as much as possible to meet the request of the lawyer, but didn't give the Bastard probation. The Bastard won't have realized it, but his lawyer should understand now: The judge wants this SOB locked up no matter what.

What does that mean for the proceedings?
Winkler can only try to appeal, but it's almost set in stone that this won't change a thing. The judge has had enough with him and his lawyer should understand as much given this recent decision.
Lock him up and throw away the key.

Also, choosing 2 years instead of 2.5 like the state prosecutor asked for most likely makes an appeal a lot harder - if not outright impossible: The only difference between what Rainer got and what his lawyer asked for is probation. Given that he already was on probation and the new accusations of assault are pretty serious charges in and of themselves... well, he's fucked. Not like there was any doubt about it, mind you, but Rainer's lawyer should make clear that the appeal is at best just going to buy time. There is not the tiniest bit of wriggle room here.

I don't know much about this guy, but assaulting people is not okay even if you're a german. This is a crime as per the Geneva Convention. He obviously can't control his anger (he was drunk, right?). If he would like to be arrested and punished by the german government, this would be the perfect way to go.
