agreed, i’m not a vampire fan myself (they’re boring) but i’m confident that part of the appeal of them for people is that they’re erotic. the sexiness of vampires has been a part of their mythology at least since the publication of The Vampyre by Polidori in 1819. there’s nothing sexy about a man with a weird goatee, which is the worst facial hair. the picture does not look like a vampire, it looks like a fat cop wearing lipstick.

Olly let Covid's isolation from the adoration of the stage as an ACTOR, and his Contrapoints' obsession, launch him into a gender transition that was more a Mrs. Doubtfire role -- i.e. presenting as an aggressively masculine woman to gain the love and money of his confused patron/Patreon cyber-children -- than an identity. He's already self-proclaimed, not many years ago, that he was THE CIS-MALE breadtuber. But also as a feminist. How to best catch both schools of money-fish? Well, here we are...

Cleanshaven Olly can be Abigail, and bearded Olly can be some new male character! The twink version is now Abigail ($$$), the Chad version is now a clever perversion on Abigail ($$$).

It's all fake, though, an escape from his shadows...so that he'll be in the center ring and the spotlight no matter the spectacle that distracts from the facts. Not once, not twice, three times. They had a sold out run for the end of March 2020 but then lockdown hit. They then attempted to stage a second run for ticket holders at the end of November 2020, but shortly after announcing it London went into Tier 4 local lockdown. They then announced that they would attempt to do a staging at the end of January 2021 in the hopes by then the local lockdown would have lifted, only for a national lockdown to be implemented.

Interestingly Ollie shaved off his facial hair around June of 2020 and started taking hormones around then. I don't know what the plan was for him doing Dracula.

Dracula actually had facial hair in the original book:

It's 100% a meme among British men that their accent can help them score with Americans, the same way a French or Italian accent does here. It's not as much of a thing for women, but then he's pivoted to try and push the "English rose" angle which is why outside of costumes for videos he tends to dress in a vague approximation of elegant and classy (he just fails at it) rather than slutty and sexy (I think we can all agree that we're lucky he doesn't try and dress slutty and sexy).

I think a lot of his fanbase are Americans, I don't know anyone here who really knows who he is (and I've got a fair few friends who dip into Contra's videos). It's a bit like John Oliver - he was a "literally who?" type figure who'd pop up occasionally on tv panel shows but didn't have a following, but suddenly he blew up in the States. Or to a lesser extent James Corden, who had realised some success as a comic actor but would never have landed a hosting gig on a prime time show here. I suspect their accents have helped their success across the pond.

Most importantly he's a narcissist and in love with himself. I don't believe this blonde American affinity is real. Not that he'd pass up the chance to have sex with a blonde American woman. And like I've said before, I don't think he was genuinely attracted to Contra, just creepily infatuated and jealous, like most chasers who go down the GAMP to AGP pipeline.

Stonewall is the largest LGBT charity in the UK. Up until a few years ago it was exclusively LGB, and now it's pretty much exclusively T. They had Aimee Challenor on the board and have allegedly been giving very dodgy advice to a range of companies (they push a "Diversity Champions" programme) including the BBC, Ofcom (the media regulator) and government departments that are supposed to be impartial.

Stephen Nolan investigated Stonewall despite being warned off it by seasoned BBC professionals, and released a podcast including an impartial look at concerns around self id or gender clinics (but also lots of interviews with trans people discussing issues raised), and identified some conflicts of interest. The response to this from many areas has basically been "noooo you can't platform the hecking transphobarinos, if you question the ideology we tell you then you must be a terf". It's unsurprising that Ollie is taking issue with investigating Stonewall.

Also the LGBT correspondent took a brief break to be West Africa correspondent (he's coming back) and the role's being covered by a lesbian. So your instincts are correct, he's a dumbass.
