Yeah, sure they are not easily replacable. But are they vital? Not in any single way. It in the same way that a teacher told me a long time ago: If all Lawyers went on strike, people would be annoyed but it wouldn't be of inmense importance. But if all garbage collectors went on a strike, people would notice real fast and want it solved equally fast. It's really strange how people don't know how to properly assess the importance of a trade or job depending on its usefuless and what it provides. These people, like Bob and Linkara, offer a service that is very intangible and nuanced. Meanwhile, a carpenter offers you his expertise producing tangible things that hold a very functional and practical value rather than his subjective opinion on if you should sit on a chair made of birchwood or oakwood. He will make a chair and tell you you can safely sit on it.

It annoys me to no end when people like this say this kind of "Oh, i'm as valuable to society as this practical job that will always be in demand and will always be useful no matter the situation". Talk about inmense lack of self awareness.

So, I hope everyone except for Blobert had a great Turkey day, or whatever you non-burger people did last Thursday, but when I was home, I got to see my sister's kids and at some point, we put on the 7th Land Before Time movie for them. Not sure when the hell someone decided that the late 80's dinosaur movie needed a shitload of sequels, but I'll say for a kid's cash grab, the kids seem to like it, and it wasn't too awful.

But the film's villain was a guy called Pterrano (or some other spelling of that dinosaur pun), and his deal was basically he was a guy who used to lead the dinosaurs but then got a bunch of them horrifically killed by a bunch of raptors (I'll admit, I wasn't expecting that shit out of the kid's flick), and he's currently trying to find a meteor because he thinks it's magic or something. Anyway, he has a song and I started laughing because it made me think of everyone's favorite pop culture moron, Blobert.

Regardless, I actually liked the character for a kids film. Sure he's an arrogant bastard, but the show did a good job of showing that the guy wasn't a complete psychopath, genuinely loved his family and was a quasi-father for his nephew, and in the end, they do a great job of redeeming the character. He's not just let off the hook, but since he finally takes accountability and saves the protagonists, he's banished with the idea that he'll one day be allowed to rejoin the heard. What I'm trying to say is that Bob acts like a literal cartoon villain, but with somehow even less depth.

Also, there were two dinosaurs that were implied to be aliens, not really sure how to segue in to that fact.
