you are not alone. If you're just a holocorpo and have say... a couple of oshis and some of the other holotalents you watch for shits and giggles, there's not enough time in the world nor the eyeballs to keep track. And then when you start branching out to other companies or indies. Plus all the news to keep up with? I am thankful that the thread exists on the farms otherwise all this information would just slip by and be lost (can't rely on reddit hugbox or chan autism to keep halfway decent records)

I get why people do it, but I’ve never been a fan of people digging into anything they can find about the roommates. It clearly can go out of control really easily, and I’m sure a lot of girls would prefer their anonymity overall. Speaking as someone who prefers to stay private online, all the focus on roommates or immediately trying to discover who the new vtubers all and their entire back-history just seems kinda a shitty thing to do. And it’s not like lolcows, who tend to be focused on because of how weird or shitty they are as people. Vtubers are typically just normal people.

But it’s silly to try to preach ethics on both KF and the internet in general, I suppose. I just felt like I wanted to get that off my chest.

For me its curiosity i wanna know past works in the public domain (for extra entertainment and comparison) like dokibird and her never ending hallway vs Obsydia house

And what they look like irl i have a fascination for seeing the person a voice is coming out of

TLDR for stream:

• Break was mostly medical (think I posted a while back about the member post/tweet she had about being in hospital) vocal/throat issues + mental.
• Felt like her singing wasn't improving/was getting worse despite the 3 weekly lessons, mentally led to issues recording her original song/other things. Went to hospital to see if was a physical reason and had some sort of throat/lung inflammation (place your coof rrats here).
• During recording "something" (presumably 3rd fest related) she felt like was starting to really struggle mentally, had to ask for a break and broke down a bit.
• Also been having multiple dance lessons with others for "something secret" (again I assume 3rd fest). Kept messing up her part and getting in her own head about it.
• Not singing/recording well + letting other members down made her mentally worse. Outright said she was feeling depressed for a while which for a Japanese person is surprising.
• Did her few collab streams lately to see if she could do longer ones with her current vocal condition/not feeling herself. (She was noticeably quiet in collabs other than the TTRPG stream imo but believe what you want).
• FBK/Mio/Subaru kept inviting her to collabs/irl things to try and improve mood. Went somewhere with Polka, also went to Okayu's house and was invited to Noel's food collab? (I missed exactly what the Noel thing was, Noel/Lamy/Choco were involved).
• After the TTRPG FBK/Mio saying how much fun they had + her manager saying how happy she looked after it helped her improve some.
• Watching all of HoloX debuts also helped seeing how energetic they were, wants to try and collab with more people she's been too shy to ask until now (EN unlikely I assume unless one of the less socially exceptional members she's close to is involved).

• She got one of the new Pokémon games, might be appearing in the Hololive tournament since she won the last one.
• Getting Animal Crossing after Okayu showed her a bunch of YouTube videos, also got a bunch of somehow related Sanrio card packs?? (Something to do with amiibo's I think I know basically nothing about Animal Crossing/Nintendo). Flare has lots of whatever the cards are and dm'd her immediately as wants to trade.
• OBS crashed.
• Stream back, reading SC + chatting.
• Keeps seeing her anniversary daki on Twitter now they've been sent out, got embarrassed when trying to show someone something on her Twitter when it appeared.
• Announced figure + birthday live (live may be shorter than others, still talking with doctor/management about how much can do since needs to save vocals for 3rd fest).
• She has anniversary + original song + this streams SC's to read so I'll edit if anything else notable is said outside of her usual SC 20 minute tangents.

Maybe I misread something, but did Kizuna Ai says she was specifically leaving because she wanted to do NFTs. The quote I read made it sound more like “Between the Facebook name change and whatever NFTs are, I think I need to get more up to date with the current goings-on in technology”. It just seemed like an in-universe thing for an A.I. wanting to learn about humanity would want to take time away to “power up and evolve” or whatever.

Ai-chan didnt say anything about doing NFTs or that being the reason she goes on hiatus. It's seems this was greatly misunderstood.

She was talking about how, when she started, Vtubing was a fresh new concept and that she's glad she could make it more accessible to anyone. Now there's new technologies like the Metaverse and NFTs that seem complicated but she wants to make things like these more accessible as well.

Btw NFT as a concept is a pretty neutral and potentially useful thing (has nothing to do with art inherently). It's just a tool that uses certain programming to be reliable and safe. So being involved with NFTs is not necessarily a bad thing.

The problem is 99.9% of the people advocating and marketing NFT's are fucking stupid.

If I'm able to find out that she believes in the healing power of piss soaking well that's funny.

Finding out the personal history of some roommate or talent, while not wrong, just for giggles or internet flex points doesn't have the same ompf as discovering Dobson's inflation art or finding out Moviebob moved back in with his mom.

In the beginning there were 2 girls I liked and I was able to watch every stream they put out. Now I'm up to 6 that I'm invested in with quite a few that interest me also. There is physically no way to keep up with that unless you live for free in your mother's basement.

I've since become almost exclusively an audio listener. I still catch a stream or two when I can, but the bulk of it is all listening to vods in the background. I have two sets of wireless earbuds and use one from each set. One ear is for work and the other is for the vods playing on my phone.

Improvise. Adapt. Simp.

EDIT: Wasn't too much else of note, she was happy so many people turned up to watch and has noticed a lot of nice comments from overseas fans lately. She also talked a bit about enjoying HTML/CSS + fixing errors so my oshi is clearly a psychopath.

sounds like she's putting way too much on herself as an individual instead of relying on others because she feels she's holding them back already. She should look at what Marine did and let others help her more. From what I've seen, everyone there loves her and would jump at the chance to do anything for her

It makes the company seem more professional when they have certain rules and standards to follow. Take Vshojo for example lol. Limiting members isn't because of idol reasons but for business reasons. They don't want another member being accidentally Coco'd as well. But I'll agree that Hololive seems to be playing it too safe at the moment.


ID isn't popular because they're Indonesian. When was the last time you heard someone like Indonesia other than the old guy who goes to SEA every summer.

This is why Coco left though. Too many limits which eventually led to her not being happy with the situation and just peacing the fuck out. Some talents will fuck up at some points, this is normal. Just have a good enough PR team ready to address the situation. Imagine if VShoujo would have had a good PR team to handle their shitshow? I try to watch streams but due to my timezone + work I have to skip out on most of it. Normally I watch an ID girl in the morning (Moona or Reine) then whichever JP is streaming in the afternoon, and at night I catch one of the EN girls or Uruka/Tenma/Pippa. I might also catch an indie or two in between streams.
