Back in the day I remember people like Jinx and other reaction channels were called out for doing effectively the same thing.

Back then everyone mutually agreed watching someone watch something else was absolutely exceptional, yet we're in a odd time now where you have retards like xqc, Cr1tikal, etc. making literal millions watching random YouTube videos while eating and making an unfunny quip every other minute. For MxR though he's always been a coomer bait channel, with his Skyrim mod series and he found a way of doing that with random videos online, it helps he has a cute gf to shove into every thumbnail as well. It's either parasocial relationships or horny kids that give these tards views (or both).

I've only really noticed just recently, but his videos are becoming unbearable. Maybe he's just needs some creative spark.

I liked him more on the Laymen Gaming channel he did with his brother.

Then the rest of his videos are bsing about virtual reality related concepts. The worst part is people are aping this guy's style now.

In the past week I'm just done with Linus. Today's video really hit it home that unless it's Anthony, I just won't watch the channel.

It's not just the growing humble brags about his disposable income now, he's been letting his faggy leaf politics show up more and more. On the WAN show last week he tries to talk up canadian healthcare with just smug reddit "imagine you have to pay for healthcare, everyone I know likes our healthcare." And for a guy who talked about how it's hard for millenials to afford their own home, particularly in B.C. thanks to the chyna money gobbling up everything, he sure seems to love showing how he's got no worries anymore.

One of his more recent videos has him showing off a luxury car he bought on a whim and then returned. At least it's a proper review of it and shows off the vehicle's stupid side, calling out the addition of touch screen garbage to every car including that one, but it's still him showing off his purchasing power.

I used to be one of those people who unironically enjoyed his videos (and similar channels) until I realized getting angry about someone else being angry makes me just as bad if not worse. But people (like old me) like to have their views affirmed so they continue watching these videos.

The only way to break the ouroboros is to either stop watching or at the very least stop being mad at the interent and instead find humor in it.

I was watching the Hotel Cecil documentary today, my main takeaway from it was that I should endeavour never to die in mysterious circumstances lest a bunch of ghoulish tards on Youtube pick over my untimely demise and form hidous parasocial relationships with me from beyond the grave.

Web Sleuths and online conspiracy theorists who exploit ongoing tragedy for content are scum. The guys from Don't Fuck With Cats who helped get Magnotta arrested were genuinely useful, but it seems to me like 9/10 internet detectives only cause more harm than good. In the case of Elisa Lam they literally did ruin one guy's life because they all dogpiled on him when he wasn't even involved. He was an idiot sure but what they did was inexcusable. I don't mind true crime channels that just talk about past cases and tell facts, or even present their own ideas, but there's something so uncomfortable to me about that specific genre of conspiracy/mystery channel that ramps up the spooky factor to 11 and turn it into a big drama.

Penguinz0 makes the most aggressively boring vidoes I've ever seen. Saying colorful strings of curse words in a silly way in the most monotone voice humanly possible makes me wish I was watching grass grow instead.

Many of these big name YouTubers are such hypocritical shills. That's when I myself stopped watching Cr1tikal and realized how much of a fag he really was, considering he dedicates his channel to shit that can be boiled down to "who cares", an example being how he was fine with shitting on and covering the ProJared dick pic drama with a video and on his garbage podcast, yet when it's his internet fwiend in hot water he has to white knight for him. I'm sure with some digging (since I'm not subbed to his ass anymore) I can find plenty of other examples of this, but the Idubbbz shit is the most glaring example. There's also the fact that he makes millions off of parasocial relationships and his streams being nothing more than a friend simulator.

MxR Plays. His Skyrim mod reviews are fair use and I do not have an issue with them. I have issue with the reaction content he does with his girlfriend. It is lazy, boring, and I hate the "reaction" faces in the thumbnails. I do not know how MxR, SSSniperWolf and others who do a similar style of content are still doing this without problems. A lot of the really big youtubers belong to marketing networks owned by Disney or other large corporations. It's basically just watching "America's funniest home videos" on youtube.

For me the issue wasn't just he wasn't making Content Cop or Bad Unboxing videos anymore. It's that he stopped doing those and replaced them with nothing. Post Rice Gum Content Cop Idubbbz is more boring than eating watery gray gruel. There is no passion, effort, or personality in his newer videos. If he had any of that, I'd still be watching him even if he didn't make his old style of content. His only entertaining video in recent years is the video of him defending himself from the people mocking him for being a cuck. It's funny seeing e-celebs who should know better than to make poorly thought out response videos to drama get pissy and not being able to take what they dish out.

I don't think it's prudent to take the word of an ex. You're asking someone who's defected to give an unbiased take on their former lover. Until something a little more solid than hearsay is revealed, that's all it is. That being said, he isn't as good as he once was. I do still enjoy his talks with Nick, though.

"Alt-humor" today is just stupid, unfunny mildly-offensive jokes masked as meta commentary. Chappelle's most recent specials are a prime example of this: he makes offensively inoffensive jokes that only the retarded can find funny, then goes on Rogan's podcast and plays the wise soul brotha spittin knowledge bombz on deez crackas. Total cognitive dissonance.

Even breadtube type can pull it off. I enjoy WithCindy, an asian book reviewer who slips in a few hot takes at both sides while discussing some teen romance novel. Or Jaylongbone, a large black creator whose batwoman reviews are definitely funny without her forcing it.

At this point the best way I can see to have alt humor is to make it ourselves. I for one would love to have a channel to post some schizo ideas I have about it.
