Mega Rad Gun Thread

That's milsurp boomers in general. Can't remember the vast amount times I'd been going to shows both buying and selling being shit-talked by a guy one flight of stairs away from death because I either want too much or wont pay enough while I'm the only one that bothered asking about their dustpile in a sea of ARs and AKs.
This is why I don't really go to gun shows anymore. It's always a bunch of boomers trying to offload their overpriced bullshit on younger guys who don't know any better.

At the rate things are going it's nothing but ARs now, and not even the kinda cool stuff from the 80s, mostly bullshit inspired by the latest CoD game.

Last gun show I went to in December was 50% shitty homemade ARs with anodized colored parts and cheapo optics, 15% Turkish shotguns, 10% overpriced mil surp M1s/SKS/Mosin, 20% pistols, and 5% actually interesting/affordable shit.

It was a waste of an afternoon.

The beef jerky is super hit or miss lately too. That said, I still like ARs, but there's no way I'd bother with a gun show even for parts, let alone a complete rifle.

When it comes to air travel, if someone was to try to board a flight with a 80 percent stripped lower by itself in the carryon backpack or place it in luggage that goes in the cargo hold, does it have to be declared to the airline or the TSA will stop the person?

An 80% lower isn't a firearm (yet), so from a (purely) legal perspective, no. That said, TSA is not known for hiring the brightest bulbs in the box, so be prepared for shenanigans.

The private sellers ironically have the better stuff on hand than the big vendors, but if I were to do a build of any type I personally peruse the internet for the components I actually want. Also yeah last time I went I bought a few snacks from vendors and there was a guy selling socks. He shows up almost every year.

I have come across some information and images that should be taken with a wheel barrow full of salt (as it comes from a /k/ Tripfag named A2Grip)
These are allegedly patent drawings of a new Eotech holographic optic.
He also makes the following claims
-They take CR123 Batteries
-They have allegedly fixed the thermal drift
-They have a Built in QD Mechanism
-That they have "replaceable hoods"
-There is an optional laser module
-The battery life is a " "little bit better"
-They will be in the "T2 Price range"
-And that they will have "tapered glass that gets larger on muzzle end."
Two things
1. It is a FACT that Eotech is working on what they describe in their own words as "Holography 2.0"
2. A2Grip could easily be fucking with us and this could be a Holosun Holographic
He also claims that Aero Precision will soon begin manufacturing "NFA Items"

I'm certainly interested. Looks strange with the angled hood, but I bet it's for profile recognition/marketing mostly.

While theoretically legal, I wouldnt take one in carry on.

No argument from me on SHOT, all trade shows and events like this are pretty pointless thanks to the internet.

Sorry I kind of phrased that wrong I've seen a lot of optics announced mainly from PA and Vortex. The only interesting thing being PA getting into MRDS, with no word on price or foot print yet.
In defense of SHOT show there is a probably a lot of meetings that go on between industry reps behind the scenes. It’s like that at any trade show. You get everyone in an industry together in one place so you can get all your major meetings with suppliers etc. done.
Primary Arms is bringing to market a product that to my knowledge is the first of its kind, a magnifier with a reticle independent of the one belonging to the optic it is magnifying. Based on my understanding how this works, is that when there is a desire to calculate a ballistic drop, the magnifier is flipped into place and the etched reticle is aligned with the red dot. Now I think this may actually be a theoretically superior option (disregarding chinese manufacture) compared to a standard magnifier being used with a red dot with a LED produced BDC. I say this because to my knowledge a BDC dot/ hashmark will be increased in size following a formula of MOA of the dot x magnification power, so If you have a 2 MOA BDC dot and a 3x magnifier that would give your eye a view of 6 MOA BDC dot. An etched reticle in the magnifier would not have this problem. It weights 5.3oz without a mount and will retail for $169.99 on P.A's website.

Speaking of Primary Arms, some of you may remember that I made post about how the Dmitri of Primary Arms said that he was working on a "Superior form of Iron Sight" but he couldn't talk bout it "just yet". I have observed that there are no Iron Sights of any kind on P.A's new products showcase page

The Ghost Gunner 3 just got a lot of added value

Also Springfield is probably going to start importing VHS or VHS-2 rifles, now YOU can LARP as either Iraqi Federal Police or the Post fall of the Territorial Calipihte ISIS Guerilla that took the rifle off the Policeman's corpse.
Oh look they built a CNC machine.

The SCOTUS is looking at Maryland's AWB as of late, however no word on if they will address it.

Also this as well, apparently some company in California claims they found a decent work around though they claim the same with one of their featureless grips that the CA DOJ agrees with and still many CA gunners are cucked hard by the CA liberal and DOJ lol despite no court cases over that grip.

Another image of the alleged Eotech patent drawings, I'm starting to lean heavily into this being real as A2 has now produced three separate drawings and the optics are weird looking but not weird looking enough for them to be fake in my eye.

I don't think I've ever had an ejection port cover on any of my ARs need replacement, and I don't use them gently.

Well I believe some folks want to replace their dust cover to add like "You Fucked" lol and its a pain in the balls to attach the C Clip, otherwise everything is easy, just the C Clip.

Why are they shaped like they were trying to avoid a lawsuit from themselves?
MCX Spear is low listed for sale on Sig's website. $8,000 and an SBR at that.
Seems like the NGSW program might have required another batch of samples and they're trying to make money off the small production run.
