He’s not just going to pass off some poorly exposed scene as is, assuming he even accidentally exposes the scene improperly (something that’s hard to do with modern cameras; you have to manually force the camera to expose incorrectly).

It’s really laughable that it would be an accident, especially when there’s no other scenes with this kind of look. The overall look of the scene also looks flat, not with phased color like an underexposed image, but like it was digitally darkened in an editor without exposure compensation (essentially algorithms that mimic the color shifting that happens when you under or over expose).
