I am unsure but it seems like it would cause relief. Of course, it would activate unused muscles so it might be that pain. I would consider watching said dude I linked who fixed his own flat feet and other foot health issues with this.Meiwaku, I can‘t quote your post but is the “proper” gait as described in the video something like how you see dancers move, especially in ballet? And wouldn’t trying to re-learn one’s gait cause problems with the joints, specifically the knees?
