I’m surprised to see there’s still so much discussion of Gura’s origin story or whatever. Anybody from massachusetts would recognize her as one of their own. For God’s sake, she jokingly calls hot dogs “Fenway franks” lol, nobody outside of massachusetts would do that. Plus people down the Cape (Nantucket counts) all have families who were weirdly into board games. Every rental house on cape cod I ever stayed at as a kid has like a whole closet full of board games, it’s the regional pastime since the infrastructure out there sucked so bad until recently, because it’s still pretending to be a “quaint vacation spot.” That’s why she raped the shit out of the rest of them at Monopoly. Her childhood was probably filled with near-constant monopoly. Plus she calls soda “soda.” Also when you look out the window in some of those old brownbeetv videos the neighbors all have that grey weathered shingle siding that everybody has around Cape Cod. Sena is a masshole, 100% certain. Probs her grandparents had a farm in the Berkshires so she is passing familiar with agriculture, but she herself is a rich girl from Nantucket who probably lightly rebelled against her upbringing by developing gross poor people eating habits and shit. Personally I am thrilled to see one of my countrymen do a wicked good job on the Internet. Swim on, Sharky.

Alright. Internet was out for a couple of days. It's good to be back in civilization. Time for some catching up.

Okay site's been down for many days, all I have to mention is how many times is Millie Parfait going to slip up and refer to herself as grandmother in Tagalog streams? She's done it twice so far, both times requiring VOD edits.

At this point I wouldn't even be surprised if Millie eventually blurts out a major detail from her past persona. Her OPSEC is just... kinda meh. And speaking of OPSEC, I didn't even know that Lyrica had a past persona way before her days as a Vtuber. Props to the poster who found the details of the past life before her Vtubing days as Lyrica. As someone who used to follow Lyrica way up until her graduation, I gotta say... This woman doesn't really know how to put a lid on her mouth sometimes. Back when she was still Lyrica, there were TONS of unarchived streams simply because she shared details and information that would seem 'dox-worthy'. Also, it was already painfully obvious since day one that she would redebut as Millie. So yeah. That's Millie for ya.

Also, that woman is smarter than she lets on. As far as I can remember, she took a couple of courses in the field of science while working part-time before eventually settling on Vtubing. Lyrica went through the typical Asian family upbringing experience. I think her mother wanted her to become a breadwinner for the family. If my memory still serves me right, she once had an argument with her mother about what careers she and her sister should pursue. Her sister wanted to be an artist but their mother was having none of it. So Lyrica took it upon herself to pursue the careers that her mother wanted just so her sister can become an artist. It's kind of a miracle she didn't turn out to become a terrible person. Her experiences back then were pretty bad.

This is all anecdotal and I don't have the archives to prove it. So some information could be muddled.

I wouldn't overthink it to that extent as proclaiming yourself to be unattached is pretty much basic/default vtuber kayfabe at this point. The valentines gag about being bitter towards couples is just that, a tired old, tongue-in-cheek gag played for easy laughs. It's a pretty common schtick for most single Filipinos who grew up in the Philippines (a country so obsessed with romance/relationships/drama that unhealthily shipping movie couples even in real life outside of their roles is standard fare) to joke about. That being said, I doubt her long-time audience would care about her having a boyfriend anyway. She didn't really traffic in GFE material, even going back to her Lyrica days, so chances of her having the same kind of unhinged simps that Rushia & Mafumafu has is pretty slim. Being a loud, blabbermouth dork was more her jam.

I swear to God, this country is so retardedly obsessed with love majority of the youth is pretty much hung up with getting the "love of their life" or "the one". There's more to youth than contributing to the statistic of teenage pregnancies around here. Also, singles being bitter and ranting about couples having a good time gets tiring way too quickly especially if they're doing it en masse. But when the ranting is coming from Lyrica, it was always a good time.

Seeing a sour and bitter granny laugh and bicker at couples and do stupid shit is just fun and all. I don't think any of her fans would mind knowing that she has a boyfriend. Not like we're stupidly obsessed like our Japanese neighbors anyway. We're just glad that we've got someone to laugh with.

And to this day, she still remains a loud, blabbermouth dork. And I'm glad she's found greater success.

This is a great video on the Coco situation and it needs more likes. Lots of shit I didn't know about.

I personally know the guy. Didn't expect my homie to pop up here. The guy's a massive simp and is closely in touch with the happenings in the Vtuber sphere. He was there since the early beginnings of Hololive. So I can guarantee that whatever he makes is pretty good and up to standards.

Yeah, it's weird to see names I'm familiar with superchatting one streamer show up superchatting another one I also watch. I think "shinchan256b" and "CECA Loather" are also names that have appeared on both of their streams. How much money are these people simping with such that that their names are being repeated so much that I'm noticing these patterns?

Anyway, sperg or no, I think he did a really good job on the designs for those Valentine's day cards.

Dude the Trashtaste channel has over 1 million subs and each vid has 1 million views at least. Their individual channels have at least 2.6 mil subs each. They each stream on twitch apart from YouTube as well. Syd and Karen are both basic weeb white girls and get along great. They aren't using her. It's something called friendship.

I listened on and off towards the second half of it, tried some sort of recording but instagram live wasn't being friendly so I gave up. That basically sums it up for the most part. Some stuff I can add:
Has plans in the work for a USA tour later this year, didn't give out too many details. No word about other countries.
THHK/AO butthurt and offended over something she did. Something along the lines of her choosing someone else for some sort of project because they were more approachable than AO was. Still doesn't want to forgive her apparently so personal relationship seems to be strained. (She was being vague so it's the best I could get)

I think she's just finding it hard to come to terms with her long time mentors/friends whom she admired just abandoning her after all these years but she has stronger friendships through hololive in a short time

All of this is incidental at best. I've moved around enough states to know that this is the general culture of basically all of small town America. There is really nothing special about anything you mentioned here.

Millie is Millie, but I guess she's uncomfortable with the process of pretending the past year didn't exist, and pretending her fans haven't found her again. In fact, if you check Lyrica's channel, she not only lists Millie Parfait in her sub box, but also Mysta who debuted 2 months later. She's ACTIVELY trying to point her old fans in the direction of NijiEN.

Which, I mean, it's totally fine. Lyrica was simply too big to go unnoticed when she reincarnates. She went from THE most high-profile and influential Indie to moving to a big company within 3 weeks. Her OpSec was impossible from the get-go. I respect that she's rejected the tradition of 'Never mention it under any circumstances'.
