I don't understand why they're beating the war drums so much. It's just another proxy war with Russia, why does anyone need to show up?

Russia's shit is clearly all fucked up. They'll probably take whatever they want in Ukraine, sure, but the big brain move would be to leave the status quo for another 15 years and let all their equipment rust away.

Unless we go to war with 1980s tech in which case I'm 100% on board.
I wouldn’t count out the Russkies. Looking at how they performed in Syria and being the side that is they only one that grasps what Opsec is could be that they are doing better than what people think they are they’re just not being faggots like the Ukies that keep posting footage from years ago and screaming Victory!

BTW, that’s exactly the behavior of a nation that is loosing a war.

dont even try, just send groups of them on suicide missions behind russian lines to serve as nuisance and distraction while your real army guys do the real warfighting
Problem is a merc is out to get paid which they won't get if they die. A foreign volunteer is there to live out some savious larp. A Ukrainian soldier is there because their homeland was invaded.

Two out of the three categories will cut and run once the risk factor gets ratcheted up. Much better leaving them as nucences to the enemy than trying to get them to actually achieve something.

"a US company". I doubt it. Salary seems completely extravagant.

edit: I take this back. Merc salaries have gone up a lot apparently. Used to be about 500 USD a little over a decade ago, far less if you're not from a Western country. Would like a better source though that this is happening in Ukraine now.
Those salaries aren't going to mean much if Ukraine sends the mercs out as meat shields and/or looses the war before pay day.

Funny you should mention that. Facebook is slackening its moderation standards to allow for calling for the death of Russian soldiers (and Putin). In response, Russian prosecutor general's office is calling to designate the entire META group as an extremist organiszation. Then Meta said Russia’s crackdown on its service is "retaliation for the company’s fact-checking of content published by Russian state media".

How is this anything other than a global psychosis?
Honestly I think the average person wants to stay the fuck out of World War 3 otherwise we would have already been pulled into it.

DPR have destroyed the Attack group "SS Bears" taking the rest prisoner.

Russian & Donbass forces have captured so many Javelins that the Russian gov has put together a manual.

It wouldn't surprise me if this becomes another Afghanistan seeing the huge amount of equipment and other shit left by the Ukries.

The Ukries don't know how to pull an orderly retreat without leaving half of their shit behind.

BTW, Luhansk is about to fall anytime now, even the wikipedia page shows this.

Well, Javelins still need a target to use them against. Are the Ukies armoured force even a thing anymore?

I would like to pose a question to this thread. Is it at all possible that The West/NATO/US somehow engineered this war starting some time after the collapse of the soviet union with the Russians either being aware or unaware of the plan? That is, could Modern Ukranian history have been shaped by foreign powers to make this war come to be for whatever reason? I know this question is tinfoil and borderline schizo but It popped into my head a couple days ago and I have been mulling it over since.

Also bonus fun fact, some of you may have heard Chechens uttering the phrase “Akhmad Silah“ in addition to the good old allah akbar. “Akhmad Silah“ is kind of a national slogan for Chechens, roughly translating to “Akhmad Strong“ (potentially other things but I will get to that in a moment). The Akhmat portion comes from Akhmad Kadyrov, father of Ramzan Kadyrov(Current leader of Chechnya). Akhmat was assassinated by bomb on May 9th, 2004 during WW2 Victory Celebrations in Grozny, allegedly by Islamist Militants. The Silah portion comes from an Arabic word that is generally associated with Strength and Power. Akhmad is considered a Hero of the Chechen people and has several Mosques and sports clubs named after him, not included in the list is a large Chechen Martial Arts association.

The C*nadian of Kiyv!!!

I hope they can dig up a good rifle for him to use cuz that DP (a machine gun) isn't really the best tool for the job. I'm not even sure what precision rifles there are in the Ukrainian arsenal.

edit: What's the point of the last pic saying he's killed 6 people, anyway? That's 100% not him and it's almost certainly a Ukrainian soldier trying to look badass with a shitty machine gun that no real military has used for decades.

Let's call him the Leaf of Keef.

"throw your soldiers into positions from which there is no escape, and they will prefer death to flight"
russians have already stated that they consider foreign volunteers unlawful combatants and will execute them instead of giving POW status
just make sure the reddit volunteers know that capture and surrender mean certain death, then throw them behind enemy lines and tell them to go ham on the ruskies

if you wanted to be a mega cunt, the Javelin can track and engage human targets.
wow real war is just like in my call of duty games!?

Here's some mythical Original Content. In particular, NATO flight information taken from the ADS-B system.

I'm also posting these on the 'dex, but it has a registration and account age wall (beware, the 'dex thread is full of whiny retards). Rate this post as to whether I should be posting future updates.

NATO JSTARS is operational. It wasn't the day before.

A few tankers here and there too. Even more in Romania. But here's a new arrival:

Then the usual Blackhawk. Politicians or bureaucrats. Yesterday (or two days ago?) I spotted him moving from Lublin to some Romanian airport. Now he's going from Przemyśl (where most refugees are located), to some military airstrip perhaps?

Finally, here's a BLOCKED:

Going from the military airbase at Nowe Miasto nad Pilicą. What could have a cruise speed of 357 kt at flight level 280? Possibly some NATO commander or politician being transferred using an airliner.

Russia spoofs Polish GPS around Kaliningrad, much like they did against Israel. SIGINT craft (reg. 91-00516) flies over Lithuania. Likely related.

Tankers doing circuits like that. It's not like there are any craft to actually refuel. Does anyone knows why they do this? Is this because they're safer in the air or something?

And another from UK, but to Romania.

--

Most NATO transport activity over Germany, and Rzeszów/Przemyśl. Helos over Czechia. NATO business jet over Romania.

--

AWACS over France. Can't find it on flightradar24 but it's on ADS-B. What the fuck?

1647004511800.png

AWACS over France (E3CF reg. 202) and Luxembourg (E3TF reg. LX-N90443, reg. LX-N90450).
Transport (C130 reg. MM6217) has been flying from Pisa, Italy to Rzeszów for over a week.

Two C-12 Huron SIGINT aircraft over Lithuania.

Three recon aircraft right next to the Belarussian and Ukrainian borders!

AWACS

1647004754600.png

And also JSTARS. Now flying from the Western border all the way to the Eastern border. Some days ago it was doing rounds right next to the Belarussian border.

Lastly, the tanker. It was also operational on the 7th of March.

1647004791000.png

Perhaps something is brewing?

Edit: not worth making a new post.

Flight over Romania. Recon two-ship, Note, no 'military' flag. Both from Bratislava, Hungary.
