The closer November gets the less sustainable current policies are. Inflation is skyrocketing, industrial production collapsing. You can't wish these problems away. The Ukraine needs to give Putin what he wants, a promise of neutrality and ceding the Crimea is pre-war status quo anyway.

There's been a weird drumbeat regarding Russia using WMD which started after it was revealed that the US had been funding bioweapons research in the Ukraine. There hasn't been one crumb of evidence to support this, not even the faked variety they used before Iraq.

Obviously they're thinking about a false flag. All of the media narrative that Russia is 'losing' the war (lol) and how Putin is getting desperate is to feed this narrative.

Are they crazy enough to do this? Yes I think so. Neocons and neolibs don't live in the real world, in their fantasy they will escalate to a certain point, Putin won't invade Poland should they start shooting down Russian jets, everything will go super smooth and in a couple of years the Russian federation will be broken up and Putin will be in exile or on trial for war crimes.

This is my only worry about Ukraine. Left to their own devices Ukraine and Russia would have reached a deal before war broke out, yes even the Jew clown was keen to negotiate neutrality with Putin before shit kicked off, obviously the burgers wouldn't let him. Neocons are religious fanatics, they want to bring on the end times and re-make the world. Hopefully there are at least some sane people in the US government who will stop them.

There's definitely a huge chasm between Russian telegram channels and what Westerners are reporting. I'm not saying this to suck Putin or the Russians' dick, but there are significant losses on both sides. In Lvov the Ukrainians allegedly lose $400 million in military equipment. Looking at maps, it doesn't look like a clean sweep like what we saw in Iraq but a stranglehold.

But that also underscores a warrior culture that is rare, even in western Armies. The US Army has an entire 4 star general level command dedicated solely to logistics. Even the German and French Armies during the World Wars, the ostensible "cream of the crop" when it came to land Armies were absolutely shocked at how much effort the USA put into its supply train. It's a historical legacy of the conquest of conquering an entire Continent, and the Civil War that was fought over more square miles then the entire European Continent, often in regions with shitty roads and no rail access.

It's seems baffling to us Americans why a supposed Great Power Army like Russia is so shit at logistics, but it's only because America is autistic about it. So autistic in fact we actually have combat laundromats, complete with trained soldiers to clean uniforms in a war zone so the trigger pullers can shit their underwear every day when the bombs fall.

Just one problem. America doesn't have that culture anymore. If it's losing to Britbongs in VR training sessions, has males saying they're women in positions of power, has lax training policies and most of its would-be soldiers are morbidly obese who cannot do basic training requirements.

IQ has dropped dramatically since Vietnam, and those brilliant logistics you saw in WWII do not exist anymore. Mark Milley had private phone calls with China, informing them of a strike. You have leaders calling their soldiers white supremacist scum.

These days your laundromats are cleaning uniforms belonging to people who are out of breath when they walk 20 steps and diverse trainees who have no desire for in-group unity. It can be fun to mock the Russians but we will be at their position in a few decades.

Even with stolen tech, China is getting ahead with laser weapons. The war, ultimately, is about who can make and break things, as all wars are.

This thread has been fun as hell to watch the Russian army make all the same mistakes they would have made if they were still Soviet Russia.

One thing that really stands out is the difference in training between the US and Russia.

Funny that 30 years later they still have the same training problems that were addressed by the US after the USSR fell apart and we got good data from Soviet troops.

A lot of people don't realize just how much training goes into being a REMF.

And if there's one thing this whole shitshow has shown is REMF Lyfe 4Ever and the E4 Mafia are fucking vital.

I was talking to a few friends about it and they literally could not understand how Russia got bogged down or how a 'modern' army could end up out of fuel, parts, ammo, medical supplies. They kept saying "But, yeah, the US does it so Russia should be able to do it too!" I tried to explain stuff like training time, hands on vehicle time, live fire range time, field exercises, all of that, and they just kept saying "Yeah, but Russia..." I even pointed out that the two ammunition dump explosions that I knew of showed that proper doctrine wasn't followed to minimize secondary explosions and that ad-hoc ASP's and ATP's have to be put together in a certain way to keep one missile from blowing it the fuck out. "YEah, but Russia is a world class military..." was their response.

Well, their "world class" military does less training than Bumfuck Ohio's Nasty Girlz and now it fucking shows. Plus, the Ukraine are basically untrained conscripts.

They also can't seem to grasp the concept of "acceptable losses" at all. Apparently war is supposed to be bloodless and if a battle results in a single casualty for your side, well, you obviously lost the battle and maybe even the war.

It is funny to see all of this shit.

It's interesting to see stuff from Russians With Attitude that regularly posts stuff from Russian telegram, where users post in detail what is happening and what's going on. There was a dude who was told to remove his autistic map-making skills by the Russian government because he was too on the mark. As said before, there's a huge chasm about what we know from the Rah-Rah Zelenskyy supporters in the West to the average gopnik. Every day I see a new viral tweet about how the Ukrainians will pull through and the Asiatic, dumb hordes will be defeated.

I've heard tallies of the dead are up to 40,000, depending on who you ask (Jim Clancy in this case). 90% pre-invasion strength.

It all just smacks of desperation. Despite all the money, all the weapons, all the plans for a No-Fly Zone, more and more cities are being taken by the Russian hordes. Astounding they can do that with potato launchers.

The one thing all those groups have in common is they don't support pointless foreign wars. Some of them might be motivated simply by contrarianism, since the pro-Ukraine side is so heavily shilled in the mainstream. But in general the only pro-war people today tend to be neocons and neolibs.

You are too optimistic. Congress is unanimous in this. They want a war with Russia and got it with Ukraine as the proxy.

The whole bioweapons labs and the researchers, patents and papers on anthrax conveniently showing up and being dismissed as 'research claims' all harken back to the early days of COVID. The same propaganda is in effect: it wasn't a lab leak, it was an outbreak at a wet market - where no natural reservoirs of COVID were found, and where pangolins, the ones suspected of being the OG vector, weren't routinely served.

I'm an American, and I don't see any of the wars we've started as good for the countries we've fought.

Fought as in fought against ? War typically aren't intended to be good for the countries you fight against.

Sometimes the intention is to overthrow a particular goverment and hope their people can learn to wipe their own asses and not kill each other without dictatorial control holding them back, it's been mostly a failure in the middle east aside from a very slim number of minorities who stay within their own enclaves.

But we've also fought on behalf of third parties who were being attacked and those wars have been successful for us and them for the most part. WW2 and South Korea for older examples or Kuwait and Kosovo for more recent ones.

Its only successful if there's a clear ethnic, religious or cultural distinction to be made where the lines are drawn once its over, if there wasn't one before. That was largely impossible in our recent wars and its likely going to be impossible in Ukraine for Russia.

Russia eating shit in an extremely visible and humiliating way and losing some 10-30% of its military capacity to mud and conscripts is fantastic if you like the idea of the US running the show for another hundred years, or if you want to make and argument that the US defense budget is way too high, if you are pro-nazi or anti-nazi, if you hate monopolists or communists, or if you just like footage of shitty tanks going boom, there's something for everyone to love somewhere in there.
