Based on the live TLs from her most recent zatsudan, Iroha has an EN/ID collab on Sunday at 23:00 JST. AFAIK the only ENs who don't have schedules this week are IRyS, Fauna, Mumei, and Sana. ID1 and ID2 don't seem to have schedules this week. Edit: Gura doesn't have a schedule either.

Re:Niji off collabs. My only major complaint I had is because of how scuffed the last one was vs the Canuck or EU off collab. Chalk it up to doing it at a hotel room vs one of the talents houses or an Air BNB.

She’s a mega weeb and pretty much replacing Shion in the kusogaki game (who’s pretty much burnout but still push on and refuse to quit). Even Niji Males have to be helped by Asian F Audience. I think this is just the thing about EN Vtubers audience, the Western EN Audience just preferred traditional streamer with actual flesh and blood

I agree, for male streamers, people prefer fleshy face male streamers if they offered entertainment value. Male Vtuber are competing against gaming bros, or esport bros heck even the trans esport StarCraft pro like Scarlett had more views than everyone in Holostars combine.

Roberu might be the only break out star based on some of his rare clips (especially his bantering with female like Kagura Mea) but his English is zero to none so the entertainment value effectively 70-80% reduced.

Male vtubers hold no appeal for me. Honestly cuteness is a big part of the appeal of vtubers, and male characters just don't trigger that protective instinct. There's a reason "cute girls doing cute things" is a genre and "cute boys doing cute things" isn't.

More than that though, is that for some reason male vtuber voices always sound very incongruous to me. I know intellectually that female vtubers don't look like their avatars - in fact I've seen most of their doxes - but for some reason their voices rarely clash with their designs. Exceptions would be Towa and Coco, whose voices always did clash for me which is why I always had a difficult time getting used to them despite their obvious talent.

But with male vtubers the voices pretty much always feel very incongruous. Not sure why.

voice is also a selling point for male streamers as well. I remembered the early 2010s esport male streamers days and watching gaming bromance like Loda X Akke or Bulldog X S4 (they are cool gaming bros but somehow tickling the yaoi neuro brain of fujos.

Heck RTZ daily salty is pretty funny as well and I think Ame returned to twitch will have the same effect.

I wondered how long will it takes for some US journo to ran an article about how being Vchuuba is the best way to pay for college. I can't think of a single guy in NijiJP that queerbaits at all. People certainly ship Kanae and Kuzuha, and Akina has said he thinks he's Bi, but that's literally it. Harusaki Air is closer to BFE than Queerbait and he doesn't actually get that many viewers/subs.

Noctyx only have Uki and Fulgur who Queerbait with each other and they would both be the lowest earners if Yugo hadn't dipped for a week (+Fulgur had his birthday stream). Still, they're doing really well. Yugo was the top earner and he spends his time on twitter flirting with the women of the branch. Luca, Ike and Shu don't lean into it nearly as much as Vox and Mysta.

I started seeing clips of Shylily in the Jan/Feb timeframe, if I remember correctly. I think due to the Veibae drama that many people started watching her clips and that pushed her up in the YT algorithm, which is when she showed up for me too. But in those clips I never remembered seeing the shrimp mascot until just in the past couple weeks or so. I thought maybe it was something that started during the latter parts of her subathon or shortly after, since it feels like it showed up after that. I figured if someone here has been watching her for a while maybe they'd know better.

I never watched streamers before vtubers, male or female. I think it is the combination of cute anime girl and streamer that pulled me in, but anime boy has no interest for me.

Pomu and Rosemi have a small subsection of fans who basically just wanted another Hololive and are incapable of accepting NijiEN isn't and won't be it. Hopefully she will channel Enna and finally tell them to fuck off.

The worst part about having a fanbase that is predominantly Hololive-adjacent (like Pomudachis tend to be, myself included) is that Holofag Unicorns within the group will sperg out hard when she does something that's more Nijisanji-esque (like collaborating with a male, offline, as a surprise). Really unfortunate that she disabled comments, though because I normally go through timestamps posted in the comments for the clippable moments.

One thing I noticed in this stream (and that she calls attention to with the ticker) is that her laugh is always completely silent. Either her mic settings are filtering it or she is just like that, both of which I find incredible in someone who is speculated to have radio experience.

She's joined Fauna's membership and chatted a few emotes sometimes so either they've made up or they haven't made up but wants to make it seem like they did.

Shadow has mentioned in streams they made up and have no issues now.

The charity stream ended early because Shadow was not feeling well but did raise over 10k Euros. One of the goals hit was Shadow would read a couple chapters of one of the books she has written which was cringe but what you would expect from a shut-in who lasted 20 days in high school.
