Vulpera/Mechagnome truly was the downfall of WoW races.

The races issue and what they've been adding to the game has been a sticking point with me for awhile. They created the allied races but then just stopped adding them, and it's like they quickly ran out of ideas, when there is a whole fucking world and 20 years of game history to pull from.
Draknoids are the tip of the spear, Eredar, Snek Church, Tuskarr, Vrykul, Gnolls, Murlocs, etc... instead Blizz reached deep in a dangerhairs ass and pulled out "void elves" and now we have these abominations. It's frustrating to see.

I'd resub if I could be a Murloc. Theres precedence for Murloc hunters in the lore, theres a named one in the class hall during Legion.

ThunderBrush, one of the lead designers for Paladins, which was Hi-Rez's answer to Overwatch, posted this anatomy redesign suggestions for the new EP race. Seeing Blizzard get dunked by Hi-Rez is quite funny to see.

That redesign is significantly better. That's a dragon that I'd be fine with playing, looks like it would fit into the roster nicely. Also highlights just how twinkish the actual model is, where it looks like it'd fall over in a light breeze (or get blown away as the wind catches in its wings).

It's still baffling that it took them almost 20 years until they added a playable dragon race, and this is the best they could come up with. Modern Blizzard is so pathetic.

I think that there's precedence for basically every class as murloc. IIRC there's a murloc demon hunter and a murloc paladin. Of course, lore has never mattered one bit for this look how long it took trolls to get paladins and they still don't have demon hunters and highmountain tauren still can't find any Grimtotem Demon Hunters even though they were a huge part of the leveling in High Mountain.

If they really cared about reptile sexual dimorphism they’d be requesting the female models to be bigger than the males as is typical in nearly all reptiles, but really at the end of the day it’s because Blizzards art team have been shit since WoD, with only the occasional good asset.

WoD did good world design but the should’ve made the characters grittier. They are all too smoothed out to be honest.

I've already seen a bunch of damage control being done by Blizzard devs today on Twitter.

One was going 'Boy dragons sure are numerous and diverse in Warcraft (HINT HINT) which one of the many varied and different ones are YOUR favorite?'

It's not that a lithe dragonman or whatever is bad and wrong, it's that the animations, general art direction and everything else looks like hastily hammered together shit.
