World of Warcraft

Zul, ahh another great character, I liked his raid encounter as well.

Warfronts and Island Expeditions are the 2 big misses that I think really shape people's opinion of BFA.
The concept of warfront is great, but the PVE version we got was not hard enough, like comically easy, and we all wanted a pvp version, basically a big moba, and I don't think we ever got it. Islands on the other hand was just turned into a farm aoe damage mode which kind of sucked. It was just a mode for AP which really stung... a lesson they didn't learn with torghast.
I really liked the flavor of that whole raid, from Zul to the Old God mistake. Really the early experience in BFA was rather solid.

I probably did one Warfront and decided never again, as for Island Expeditions I did a couple but got bored of it because of the farm. I think Warfronts had a lot of potential and so did Torghast, which was apparently a lot of fun during PTR, but then they gimped it to cater to the most retarded of players and it sucked. I get they want to make all content accessible to everyone, but it's ok to have stuff that's hard in a game and some players will skip, just don't tie it into the core game system like they can't seem to avoid doing.

I'll also mention I just didn't get their gear system in BFA, the wheel thing to get static modifiers and such just felt clunky and didn't really add anything beyond the initial click. It also just felt like old school tier sets, but you needed to fuck around with it more instead of just equipping shit and getting a bonus. Maybe if they just made more sets but with things like 2 and 4 piece bonuses and nothing else. Then you'd pick between four sets of two for set A to get 4x the benefit or mix in 4 pieces of set B to get 2x A and 1x B, and so on. It's still just more stuff you can sim, but at least you can throw on some 2 piece bonuses while you collect a 4 piece or whatever, and the benefits don't have to be crazy, just enough to patch up some pain points.

Theorycrafters will plot out the ideal charge times for abilities and remove the guesswork (watch there be an addon to tell you when to release the button every time), and it'll just be another mindless button to press.
And you know the Dev's will go online and cry about how the players ruined their super awesome special homo dragon class with their addons, instead of thinking about why their design failed and how they could have made it more enjoyable to play outside of a quick time event system.

BFA was fucking garbage, the leveling was OK and I loved Mechag9ng or whatever it's called, but other then that the game just burnt me out.

The necklace was shit, the aeserite system was shit, the world quests for content sucked, I could go on.

But the thing BFA finally made me realise is that each expansion and patch would reset the system in some way, or even replace it with something that was the same, only different.

I can't speak for raiding as there was no way I was going to do the system grind required outside of raiding to stay competitive.

It's why I didn't come back for SL. I almost did, but then it became clear that the new expac was just a different flavour of BFA shit

That’s gotta be fake, also right now I’m leveling a human warrior and the questing is pretty good so far. At least the old quest zones still exist and archaeology.

Shoutout to all the WoW content creators immediately switching their tunes to “this is gonna be it, Warcraft is back” despite rightfully slagging on the shitstate of the game all of shadowlands.

Especially the clickbaiting Mick. Listened to his recent streams before the reveal and he gets angry about how shit blizzard is but the reveal stream he’s giving them the benefit of the doubt so much you’d think he was a Taliesin level of shill.

Pretty sure you're talking about Bellular, that dude is the Tim Pool of WoW news where he'll throw a fit and then next minute be on his knees licking Blizzard's balls. I remember when they started making all of the changes to cut jokes, remove art, etc he said it was only a few jokes and he could understand the context but if it turned out to be a big thing he'd be pissed. Then they gutted anything even remotely sexual in the game and his response was "well, it's complicated, what if there are people with trauma, we shouldn't just rage."

The cinematic pretty much sucked so for him to think it's great shows how shit his taste is.

The sets look really good to be honest. I love the mage set. But I know they will probably not look this cool in the game which makes me sad.
Yeah it is really sucky, the hunter and warrior are my favorites since I mained them for a while.

What's up with the priest set being red and the warrior set being gold? Shouldn't it be the other way around, and imagine if the priest set turn purple in shadow spec.

Those Tuskar's look horrible.

ThunderBrush, one of the lead designers for Paladins, which was Hi-Rez's answer to Overwatch, posted this anatomy redesign suggestions for the new EP race. Seeing Blizzard get dunked by Hi-Rez is quite funny to see.
That redisgn actually looks great, I'd still prefer Drakonids but I wouldn't be upset if the Hi-Rez version was the way to go.

Those are the LFR, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic probably.

Oh yea, forgot they did that, but doesn't LFR not get sets just poverty replicas? Really them having to do so many recolors for all of the modes is retarded.

I really wish that raiding was more user friendly for retarded players like me, I just can't get a group together no matter how many times I read the guides.

The scheme they usually have settled on is that LFR, Normal, and Heroic get colorization A B and C, then the Mythic gets a better version that has more bells and whistles and particle effects. Generally the high level PVP is an alternate color of the Mythic version but they are nowhere near consistent about that and sometimes it's something unique tied into faction identity or something else entirely.

I hope we get a horde and alliance dragon recolor honestly.

I believe the colors are meant to represent the dragonflights, not so much the difficulty, although who knows how that will go. Traditionally tier sets weren't all the same color pallette, the colors were different based on class and difficulty. Since bfa though they've been doing these raid themed sets and this is the first real tier set since the change back, hard to tell what the plan is.
