As a latino myself, i hope HoloES never fucking happens, spanish speakers are like SEAniggers but hornier, i don't think i could ever watch a vtuber who speaks spanish anyways, would just make me cringe to death, specially if it's some fucking mexican, spaniard or argentinian with a thick fucking accent.
Also spanish really doesn't lend itself well to loli/kusogaki style characters since it's hard to have a squeakier voice without souding ridiculous, most spanish speaking women would fare better with a hag/oneesan style character, spanish gura gives me nightmares.

Seriously, I think Marine is a legitimately great creator, she's funny, makes great songs, MVs, shorts, if she was crowdfunding anime or games I'd probably support those too. She tries to make stuff that both she and we will enjoy and there are few creators these days who even TRY to do that.

I feel that, I do love her yabai side. She is a good performer and how she works with her fanbase in making content that her and they would enjoy is nice. Which I usually think is the best type of content you can make as a creator, not selling yourself 100% to your fanbase but equally have input in it.

It's fairly generic, way fucking better than western articles I've seen on the topic, and touches a bit on the parasocial otakus donating tons of money. Mentions Okami Mio briefly and a few others I'm not familiar with. Also mentions a lawsuit where the talent alleged attacks on the vtuber character were attacks on the person behind it.

Doesn't go into detail about stuff I was expecting like the recent limits in China on livestream viewing for minors or any bilibili or youtube stuff - but I also don't know a ton about that topic anyway so *shrug*.

Just thought you guys might find it interesting. I'm thankful it's not a full out hit piece on vtubers in general even if it focuses on the high amount of money made by more popular vtubers.

In a way, I agree with you. A huge chunk of the Latino weeb culture is the type of people that would naruto run and be overly autistic. Cringe aside, that is a good market to hit. Maybe you won't get $100 superchats raining on you but you will get 10-15 $5 superchats coming in if you as much as pay a little attention to them. They are attention-starved and look at the Spanish Duolingo streams that Coco, Anya, and Millie did and look at the chat. A chat that normally has at most 1-3% Spanish suddenly turns into 50% Spanish comments.

Look at how successful Wactor or any of the other indies are.

Only once from what I remember. The last time I saw her play it she was stuck on the end boss trying to get the true ending. She couldn't get past because the game was so poorly made that it was impossible for her to win. She had to reload a different save to get a different ending.

It was something weird like that yeah. I think technically she got 2 or 3 endings because I remember her freaking out at Freddy getting taken apart in the one then I think she got the driving one? Hmm..guess they got upset at Vox making a metric fuckton of chinese fujo money since youtube most certainly won't be bending over to enforce "time curfews" without screwing everyone else over in the process too somehow. I think depending on how severe it is it will be noticeable or it will be the same just instead of making like 30-70k/month, vox will make 25-65k/month. (Not real numbers but he makes so much any scaling back won't be that noticable to the top earners.)

So It wouldn't surprise me if they'll have to "move over" to BB if there is too much of a hit on youtube viewership.
