It is actually a documented thing but they talk a lot about regret. That's not what's typically common after surgeries.

Stress on the body, meds making you feel funny, being stuck in bed or not being ablento do things you want to do all contributes. Having your brain temporarily scrambled by anesthesia doesn't help either.

Hell, I even got post surgery depression from being sedated for wisdom tooth surgery. But you know what I never felt? Regret that my teeth were missing. Or regret about any other organ modification that I've had surgery for.

That feeling of regret and "oh no what have I done" is what they confuse for post surgical depression and try to say is normal.

Ain't none of us fuckers out here with real post surgical depression are like "man, I really shouldn't have got my gall bladder out. I kind of miss it. Maybe this was a mistake."

I’m PL-big here, but I’ve had a LOT of surgeries for a chronic medical condition. One of those surgeries was the removal of my right eye (Enucleation) because it had been operated on so much it was collapsing. You know what I felt? Relief. The pain and constant worry about it was gone. I did have some post surgical depression, but it was “man, I wish I didn’t have to go through all this in the first place” stuff. What really cheered me up was going to the ocularist - the specialist who made my prosthetic. They were AMAZING. As my prosthetic was created and painted to look just like my left eye by hand, I got to watch Deadpool and other cool movies. It still took time to adjust to having the prosthetic, but I don’t have to worry about that eye anymore. It was a huge relief.

Trannies…don’t talk about their “life-saving” surgeries like I do, or the way most people do. They speak about euphoria, and it’s all very scripted and forced, when it’s not a litany of pain and disgust. And even then, after enumerating all the painful, gross, embarrassing, and depressing shit they go through, almost all of them end on a note of forced jollity. Because they have to - if they don’t, they’ll lose any “support” they get from their “community/supporters”. By this point it’s too late to recant - they know they have to follow the narrative no matter how much regret/pain they’re in.
