I’m not sure what America you guys live in but fights happen all the time with no legal intervention - criminal or civil. The one thing that does result in less fist fights here than in Europe is guns. You have to size up if the guy you are beefing with is going to freak out and pull out a gun because he feels threatened.

As for civil legal matters? The only way a fight gets taken to court is if one or both of the combatants have money/assets worth going after.

The reason Ralph is always so fast to start yelling about cops and lawyers is because he’s a fat white trash dirtbag who was raised around ppl who’s only chance at having more than a few hundred bucks to their name was via a shady lawsuit settlements. As for snitching to the cops? The weakest white trash always try to get the police to solve their disputes and punish ppl for them.

I generally disagree in the sense that I think what prevents random combatants from sueing each other is knowing each other's names and addresses. But the moment you get into a fight with someone who knows who you are, all bets are off. Just look at Zoom court during the pandemic. It happens a lot.

But yes the gun thing should reduce a lot of people's urges to fight.
