Here’s the thing; he isn’t ‘sober‘ when not drinking. An alcoholic still has a compromised brain that relies on inebriation for its ‘normal’ idea of functioning to experience the world and that process lasts for up to a year of sober living until their brain returns to something like what a non-alcoholic brain functions like in terms of living on dopamine and electrochemical functioning if I recall what I read is correct. Not and expert btw. Also yes permanent damage can be done and other drug use can mean all kinds of cognitive and psychosis like hallucinations and hearing things. So great job gunt way to become a psycho.
