The last 20 pages of this thread have been a testament to why mega-threads are half the perceived problem with A&N, it's been an off topic mess of ad hom, tagging and pointless shit from like the same seven or eight people. Most of these people I rarely even engage with or pay particular notice in A&N, even the most notorious among them only once or twice...but I only read article threads. I agree with half of these loud individuals (naturally) but nobody is willing to walk away without the last word on either side. I think we now know from where all the squeaky wheels cometh. The prize is too big, too much is on the line, there is too much visibility, the thread is active and will be until Null ends it, just like a big 'ol mega thread on [current thing].
If this were any article thread on A&N it would run all of 5 pages and then disappear into obscurity. Even with sperging/antagonism from well known parties the likelyhood of so many radioactive superspergs in such close proximity causing a spergdown is much lower. Usually confrontations only last a few posts, and the board moves too fast for necro-ing to be a real issue. I've been in slap fights, some over the stupidest shit but I barely remember most of them by name. We need to distribute our tards around the room or Null needs to get the most butthurt oldfags inline and show them where the ignore button lives... If it's mentions of outsiders just fucking kill mentions for the A&H board.
The more I consume of this thread the more I am convinced that the Journos should be the cows, that should be the point; to mock and highlight the agenda, subtext, money, patterns, opinions... in any piece of news. I delight in seeing journos semi-doxxed and seeing all their headlines collected together and curated. It makes for such vivid dissection of a news piece, of a journo, of an outlet, of it's owners. Naturally the relevant opinions in play must be debated but it should be like a joust, the hostility should live and die with the thread. Discourse should remain humorous, entertaining and borderline combative but anyone should be allowed to speak, people in the future deserve to have the most passionate and naked opinions from the KF populace for posterity. I find when I post right wing sources the lefties come out of the woodwork to scrutinize the outlet and the opinions, good, that's how it should work. Of course I will side with my team on the overall narrative but I don't trust Ben Shippiro, or Fox on many issues either and they certainly have agendas worth calling out.
Actual A&N has been dead all day (it's always kinda dead on Sunday) but we can all go back to our fresh crop of articles tomorrow and each shit up our own toilets issue by issue, instead of doing this "only shiter at the bar on snt. pats" overflow scenario. Not that it hasn't been entertaining, I've learned a lot today about why certain people hate other people and what issues will make what people REEE.... and I'm sure Null has as well.
