Minecraft

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I had to resort to playing earlier builds because my laptop can't run the latest versions, and as much as I want to upgade to a gaming PC, I don't have the financial capability to do that right now. I was playing 1.12.2, till I decided to reinstall Tropicraft (favorite mod). Currently playing the 1.15.2 build.

Awesome job, Impish!
Thank you.😀

Haven't played for a few months due to lack of time, but when I do I just like to build stuff. Haven't downloaded the latest patch yet, and probably won't until I can update the resource pack that I use. I tend to agree that the updates are coming too often now - though some of the new additions have been really cool.

Holy shit, this is amazing! I can never build anything that looks remotely cool in the game. Great job!

Also, I wish we had a Minecraft server. As long as it wasn't anarchy because I'm a bitch and I don't want anyone to touch my stuff without my permission

I appreciate the kind words. The Blackstone castle and Jousting arena in this shot were built following tutorials from the Blue Nerd YT channel - he does great tutorials for budding builders (the castle was in 28 parts mind you lol). I'd recommend him to anyone who wants some ideas - the builds he does are mind blowing.

I'm totally with you on the server thing too...for exactly the same reasons.

This but also as long as it isn't vanilla in general because I'm an impatient retard who doesn't like using large sets of chests/shulkers anymore for any kind of storage. Give me an Applied Energistics 2 storage system any day of the week.

Or Quark's storage buttons or Iron Chest. Vanilla seriously needs better storage management, but that goes without saying.

That's seriously amazing. Are you using a texture pack?

As for me, I jumped back onto 1.7.10 for a modpack I enjoyed now that I have a new computer that won't give me shitty FPS. Definitely a time-waster but a good one.

If you had to go all the way to 1.7 then I can only assume it's some shit like GregTech: New Horizons. Is it?

Nah, I find GregTech absolutely bothersome. It's a modpack that has some magic and tech with a quest book around it with a lot of recipe changes. It's one of the first few when you look up 1.7.10 modpacks on CurseForge. Besides, 1.7.10 is the last version of Thaumcraft that I like with all the add-ons.

Minecraft snapshot 22w24a is out, and it brings with it draconian bullshit.
Release Notes (Archive)
I don't know about you, but I can't wait to be banned from all multiplayer functionality just like in Bugrock for saying FUCK on a minecraft server!
That's fine. It's not like the more popular servers didn't already have this to some extent via server plugins (along with censors).

You would need to go out of your way to get your ass reported by another player and even then, if you're on the right server, no one will give a shit about what you type in the chat.

No, that's entirely different.

You know how bans from Mojang (which this report system is for) in Bugrock work? Your entire access to multiplayer functionality is removed, and on some platforms you even lose singleplayer access.
That the kind of system you want in Java? Because that's what's being forced into Java.

Sounds like a class action lawsuit waiting to happen for people like me who bought a "Minecraft" decades ago and didn't agree to those terms at the time.

I get what the ban does. It sucks, but you would need to go out of your way to get banned like that and, as far as I'm aware, there hasn't been any serious cases of someone abusing this report system on bedrock.

Hell, you can avoid this ban completely by not chatting with players on public servers. Also, unlike bedrock, single player worlds are offline and Java players have ways of bypassing the bans anyway.

Slippery Slope

Slippery Slope
Maybe but, until this progresses into something more or if abuse of system becomes a problem, I don't see the fuss about this.

Again, in order for you to even catch the ban you would need to:

1. Be on a public server with randos
2. Say something that would piss someone off enough to have them report you
3. Have moderation determine if whatever you said is worthy of a ban

And that's assuming a vast majority of players would even be aware of this system in the first place. Unless you're someone that feels the need to be problematic at any given opportunity, this system hardly affects anyone.
