It would have probably been successful and Keem would have gotten them sponsors as well. DSP could have set himself pretty good. There's no fucking way he told kat that he turned down possibly 100s of thousands of dollars for something he could have done from home. He wouldn't even need to travel. It's insane he would rather stay and home and beg for crumbs absolutely insane.
I do wonder about what kind of internet 'privileges' the Khet gets in that house. She had a channel of videos she posted of herself streaming games for zero people a number of times, used to have a Twitter, etc, so she did have an internet presence. I could see her initially voluntarily steering clear of it, even deleting her accounts, because she had to have some kind of an idea of Phil's online rep, but years later? Idk, she seems like someone who'd probably be into a lot of vapid celeb stuff and whatnot, and I don't see Dave being too trusting of her having unfettered access. Does he have to monitor it, does she have to sneak in the bathroom and watch, does she even care? I'd personally never get involved in a relationship that started on the basis of someone cheating on somebody else for obvious reasons, so I'd imagine he must have at least some insecurity about letting her play too much, but who knows.
Overall, I think she definitely knows she has a good thing going: gets fed (the food brought right to her the vast majority of the time), can let herself go, doesn't have to work, doesn't have to contribute to the household finances when she does work, and she doesn't even have to be touched by the super gross guy who's cool with all that. I don't see her actively planning stepping out in any way, and I think she's probably just as fucking lazy as he is. I do wonder though how much she hears of what happens with him out in the world has to be controlled by him to keep things as is.
How much WOULD it matter if she knew that he turned down a pretty easy, definitely fraught with potential complications though, 50k? I don't believe for a second that he's ever discussed any of the things with her about which he's said, 'me and Kat talked about it for a long time...', because he doesn't give a shit about how things effect anybody but himself. He could literally sacrifice one day's worth of pulls and take her to the zoo. A couple of his bigger days worth of them, and they could have their honeymoon, but he doesn't even consider it. The dynamics that take place 'behind the scenes' of their sham of a marriage is the part of all of his nonsense that I'm probably the most curious about.
